Top Ten Profile Commandments: Thou shalt sendeth personalised messages

It’s pretty obvious when you use a template message, even more so if your message isn’t tailored to the member type you’re seeking e.g. sending a single profile a message that refers to ‘you guys’ or how you want to meet a couple like them. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t use templates if you wish – they’re a great way to pre-fill the basics of a good introduction message - but make sure that you add to it and tailor it to the person that you’re writing to. It takes a few minutes add in some personal questions and/or remarks that might encourage a response. It certainly ups your chances of receiving a response over a template or ‘hi hru?’ message.
