Top Ten Profile Commandments: Thou shalt not be a negative Nancy (or pessimistic Peter)

Have you ever read a profile full of ‘I DON’T want’ and ‘you MUST NOT be’ and thought to yourself ‘I just HAVE to contact that person, they sound fantastic!’? …No? Me neither. Whenever I read one of these profiles, my first thought is that they must be extremely high maintenance and sound like an extremely negative person. Don’t get me wrong – there’s absolutely nothing wrong with knowing what you want (and don’t want) and expressing that clearly in your profile, but maybe try to go for the positives e.g. ‘I would love to meet’ rather than stressing what you don’t want.
