  I sort of get the concept of football - one person, running, tries to take a ball - either at the end of his foot or in his arms - from one end of a field to the other and deposit it at a specific area, lots of others run toward that person to try and stop them. It's a great concept and appears quite thrilling. I just don't get why they have to run, wouldn't it be easier on the joints and all that if they just walked calmly? It seems silly to me, all that running. Running is for when someone is chasing you with a knife, or a bear (minus the knife) in a forest somewhere, yet they make sport of it? I just don't get it.
