We have been married 16 years and we still leave each other notes all the time! I pack him lunch everyday and I randomly leave him a love note in his lunch bag or I get up to him having left me a message on the white board in the pantry ! And don't get me started on how many text messages we send eAch other just to say I love you ! Xx mrs cs

I do think the younger generation have their own language but I don't think it necessarily means they've lost the love of words. In fact, linguists have found that the new text speak has its own syntax, which although I can't read it or understand, I think is fascinating. So does it really matter if 'boy' texts 'girl' some words instead of writing them down? It's still a legitimate form of showing affection IMO. Having said that, I leave Mr IAT little love notes and write daft verse just because I can but I also text him love notes too. Words will always have the power to seduce and romance - the medium and language may change over time but the messages will always mean the same things. - Posted from rhpmobile

We write silly messages to each other on the bathroom mirror with a mark board marker! I don't do emails, I'm notorious for even opening emails from anyone! We send each other a lovey dovey txt message during the day! In our uni days we would write letters to each other! I think it's very romantic to still get a piece of paper with the words of love on it... Mrs C xx

gal·va·nize (glv-nz) tr.v. gal·va·nized, gal·va·niz·ing, gal·va·niz·es 1. To stimulate or shock with an electric current. 2. To arouse to awareness or action; spur: "Issues that once galvanized the electorate fade into irrelevance" (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.) 3. To coat (iron or steel) with rust-resistant zinc. This is what I mean in this original post I meant galvanize as to stimulate or arouse. What I would have hoped is if I left that for my special other half then she would take the time to investigate what I meant. Because I took the time in trying to romanticize her. I try to put thought in to what I write so that it can mean something more then what it appears. I must be to cryptic ??
