all these responses. Why is it that cougars get a whole different reaction. Cougar threads start, and in come the smart arse remarks from older men and defensive remarks from women, what I'm reading here is great humour and 'niceness', same people come into this topic and cheer on/support the reverse situation lmao The men respond better for obvious reasons 😉 the women, I'll never figure them out. Anyway, very interesting read. I'll be following with interest 😃 This is exactly how cougar topics should go, happy, friendly, acceptance, no judgement, nobody feeling threatened? See what I did there. Laughing so hard right now, definitely need more coffee. I'm on it 😛

Funny, but there are similar topics on here about guys who prefer younger women. Apparently guys who prefer younger women are insecure about their age and having a mid-life crisis. Should they luck out with younger women, those women are being used and manipulated. And yet here it is a sign of liberation! Which I actually think is true by the way....

Sorry to interrupt your thread, had to point that out. Practically every cougar thread ends up getting deleted solely due to the insecurity of said/sad individuals. Clearly they're accepting of your choices, as am I, good for you. I also wondered if there was a word. LetsFrolic> Panther is (I think) the word given to older men with much younger partners, not a word for her, and is also used for older women with younger partners. So the younger woman it seems has been forgotten about. That sucks. We'll have to invent a word 😀 I'm officially a Jaguar, might try that. Has quite a refined/classy ring to it, nah that wouldn't suit me 😂😂 I'll be back with some ideas for names Great topic btw 👍

wow that escalated quickly hahaha 1. If anyone is berating you over your sexual desires, the onus is on them. Their problem, not yours. 2. Nothing wrong with healthy debate, persecution of someone simply because of their preference is low and cowardly. Sometimes people can be quick to play victims though. Standing up for yourself builds character. If someone decided me liking older people meant I had a complex, I would suggest they refer themselves to the song 'you don't know me' and I would also laugh and throw some sarcastic wit their way. Because I have a sharp mouth and love to use it. 😁 3. Older men liking younger women has been clouded by misogyny and sexism for a very long time. Please forgive those women who have probably been hurt by those things from the minute they were born, but have faith in the younger generation to learn from your mistakes ✌✌ Plenty of respectable older men on this site, and they tend to take rejection much better than the younger men. 4. There are plenty of forums, topics, groups, websites etc for cougars. They are literally everywhere, I don't believe you are under represented or held down by society. Younger women get a hugely bad rap on these forums from my experience. Being said to have less experience, confidence and self esteem. Which in regards to myself is so untrue is laughable. We all get stereotyped, I see it as a challenge to not only prove yourself but to change and open minds. Keep rock in to your own tune! 5. The original post was about me... If anyone missed it 😂😜 Xx

Just got into trouble for two older (married) men having affairs with younger female employees. Nothing to suggest anything illegal, but interesting they were forced to walk, but their younger paramours got to stay. Personnely I think it was no ones business and unless they were doing it in the office in work hours, it's up to them and the wives to sort out as they see fit. - Posted from rhpmobile

I agree, unless they worked under them, then I could see the issue. But none the less I'll repeat what I said before. I think that older men get crucified because of the implications of what it use to mean before women had more rights. That's another topic entirely though!

..is a blessing. The term you're looking for is Panther . The reason I know this is because a younger girl I was seeing asked me if I thought she was ? Id never heard it before but I knew what a Cougar was and figured it must be some other type of cat. So when she explained, I told her yes , looks like you're a Panther alright ?This put the biggest beaming smile on a face I'd seen in ages.. lol.. So yeah, now we both know.. Here kitty... 😜 lol..

Due respect but that is a ridiculous thing to say. You have a name don't you? I assume you have one in real life too? lol Names/labels/tags/brands/account names or profile names/band names/groups & organisations Red Cross or Richmond Tigers, Nike Let's do it 😜 Need I go on? Names are used to save time and when used for advertising, a whole explanation can't fit in the opening line or spiel of their ad. It's the same on here. One word or a short phrase captures the interest of those searching for that specific thing, even those who aren't 😉 but more than that, it defines who we are. If we want to be defined, that's up to us, none of your business or the person next door or the guy who runs the shop down the road. We label ourselves because it works, simple as that. I still say pictures speak louder than words but pictures, along with a brand name, so to speak lol very effective 😛 What isn't effective is when we get treated like a paid sex worker. Message I received yesterday asked if I was free to hook up/meet a few days later, having never spoken to him. Yeah nah he got a lecture haha randoms I do in RL, not online, safety etc.

No offense taken and I appreciate your view. I understand what you say about advertising and if something works then use it. All good and I agree 🙂 I don't however think my post was ridiculous, just my opinion that's all. Yes we have lots of names for all sorts of things and that doesn't worry me at all, but just every now and then it might just be nice not to have a label for everything. OP, sorry if my post took your thread off on a tangent, please carry on!

Attraction can take many forms.. when I was younger I preferred older women, now I am older I prefer women younger than myself. No idea why, its just the way it is. I am sure its the same for women. There are no hard and fast rules to attraction (although some are obviously taboo and some are abhorrent to most ie below age of consent.). I do like the term 'Platinum Unicorn' but when you start to label things, then people will start to attach stereotypes and judgments to that label. It is what it is .. whatever makes you happy (as long as you arent hurting others).

Its just an arithmetical value, more an issue in mind over matter. Maturity is what counts! Of course its not open slather and for good reason!!! We have had the pleasure of a 19 year young mature lady. Hubby did not have sexual penetration with her, for us its all about erotic massage.
