Theme night for play parties

I have been toying with several different options for themes for our events. So my question is has anyone been to any particularly interesting themed play event or have and suggestions for one? Thanks in advance..

Most themes work, weve seen red, white, devils and angels, little black dress, circus.. All fun, But the one thing that spoils any theme night is ppl who dont bother. If doing a theme, be strict on no effort no entry.
