6 months was the longest and I am married! Not a monsoon, a small trickle. It was simple, just penetration to break the drought. A number of factors played into the drought ( none really good enough because intimacy could have been achieved in a number of ways) baby, post-natal depression, a range of things. There was a though when I said to hubby I want to spice Up our sex life. We haven't looked back. Enjoy the afterglow, Mary xxxx

16 Months, before I finally broke up with my ex. A torrent ensued afterwards and hasn't stopped raging yet.

Drought was when I was married. Over 18months. The disconnect waa just too much. Ti have sex when I am not happy is more self and soul destroying than self love. Lol. Although I like the self love too. After my marriage broke up, I made a concious decision not to be involved with anyone and give myself time to heal and reflect on how the circumstances have affected me and my kids and think thimgs out. A self imposed dating ban. For 12 months i resisted temptation and focused on work my kids anf my sports/fitness (karate and boxing). The sports was cathartic to my healing.. That is to have time to envision how I can positively harness all this energy into something beneficial in the long term. The hurt was also there and I needed time to grieve. I didn't want the additional complication of another person clouding my judgment and was enjoying my newfound freedom To re-discover myself and how beautiful I can be and love myself again. current drought is getting up there...9 months and no sign of ending anytime soon. Of course, for about half of that time I had pretty much no libido at all, and even now although the desire is most definitely back there are other factors at play, not just the fact that I don't have anyone available and suitable to fuck at the moment.

was our longest. During marriage (obviously lol) whilst pregnant and then breastfeeding. Just felt gross and totally lost my mojo. Thank god I have a very patient and loving hubby who would have had very toned biceps at the time lol. Was like opening up the flood gates when we had a "kid free night" and hasn't stopped since. I have been with my current partner since I was 17 , so unless instructed to by a doctor i.e. after birth, we rarely go 3 days without sex….in fact I think even when we had little babies, longest time between sex was around 14 days ……..I would be SCREWED now if I was to become single!! I like a lot of good regular sex…..I'd become one of those Friday night casino cougars :)

sex probably twice in 6 years. For 3yrs after my ex left, I felt like I was cheating, even though he cheated in our marriage, then I had a long distance relationship for 3 yrs, saw him twice and I allowed him to keep me on a leash for far too long. My mood is very low atm and I have only had sex once in the last month. I am horny as hell and can't sleep but I just don't even care to look right now, I am pretty over it.

My self-imposed drought is 22 months. I don't see it ending any time soon and have prepared myself for it to last some more years. My heart belongs to someone who doesn't want it and until I put that to rest I'm just not available for anyone else. There are some other personal factors as well, that make celibacy more attractive than meaningless sex at this point in my life. In my marriage we rarely had sex. We frequently went 3-6 months without, and the longest period without was 18 months. I have a very high sex drive so I can only assume my marriage conditioned me to cope with my current lack of :) - Posted from rhpmobile

My longest was 4 years but not by choice on either of our parts. Some of that was because of pregnancy and the majority was because of chemo. To be perfectly honest, I didn't miss it at the time because there were more important things to be concerned about, and ultimately, I derived greater pleasure from being with the person than being upset about missing out on sex. Life and death puts sex in perspective.

I went for a year after my marriage broke up. I needed to but it was difficult. Recently I had 4 months off after a blip... Got back on the horse recently and am feeling a lot better for it. Got to find some balance there. It's tough being single again after 18 yrs of regular sex.

Last 6 years of my marriage was a drought. It took about a month after that to get laid, lucky found a lady online in similar circumstances ! That was fun !

Mrs Denials came to my bed last night for the first time in well over a year...with a bit of luck she might be getting her libido back.I did visit a working girl on my trip to NZ in June but still that didn't break the drought and I don't if last nights episode is a drought breaker either...I keep telling Mrs D she's my preferred lover but I'll never pressure her to do anything she doesn't want to do...
