Sultry NYE Events in Brisbane / The Valley?

Penelope's in James Street have just cancelled their NYE event, "Penelope's RED" which was planned to be sultry, sexy and sophisticated. We've been looking forward to it, and now disappointed with nothing to do... Are there any other events in town that might be similar? Not looking for a swinger's club, but somewhere nice and sexy where adults can meet, dance a little and mingle.

I'm a single male new to the Brisbane lifestyle scene, so interested to hear what are the better venues to attend. I am equally distanced to Gold Coast and Ipswich also.
