is definitely high on my list as I have hayfever and some smoker's skin can reek of cigarettes which makes the being intimate thing a turn off for me as the symptoms can be triggered. Kissing is definitely not happening either then. Same with some deodorants/after shaves etc.

I love the smell of a guys skin unless he is a heavy smoker. I havent come across any guys who had an unattractive smell. I like to drink in the scent of a guys skin after a hot session when he is lying back catching his breath....yum!

I just read somewhere that pregnant women give off the best natural pheromones to men and when we are our most fertile. I can't remember where I read it, but I do believe it. I believe as us humans we are attracted to all sorts of pheromones. I also believe some medications/medical conditions/foods have a lot to do with our natural odour releasing. Some people like certain body smells others do not.. It's a personal individual choice. Sometimes I think we can not control it. We like and are attracted to what we like and dislike. Ms Foxy

Twice the experience had been not so nice. One hadn't showered, no sex followed, the other was mixed race, Indian type heritage, I think, and I felt like it would have been diet related. Quite a warm night, getting busy in his car, and drops of his sweat were landing on me, than can happen but the smell was terrible. There were other issues which I won't go into but I stopped proceedings, I couldn't continue, it wasn't pleasant

If he smells wrong to you,he may just smell right to someone else..your DNA is telling you,that he is not a good match for procreating..apparently the pill can mask this function and lead you to making a poor choice xxFreya

Many studies have shown that women prefer men that have an odor that is different from their own. The reason is not understood. I don't know if there has been any correlation found for men with womens smells, but I know that there are some women that have everything going for them until I get close enough to notice their fragrance and my mind shuts down all attraction related activity like a switch. While there are a few particular types of smells that can turn an ordinary almost unnoticed someone into the most desired. The same goes for men, there are some I can not stand the smell of and others I could swim in.

Smell is a big player when it comes to attraction. I have found myself more aroused by a woman's smell and I don't mean sprays and perfume. If anything they are a put off as they may be hiding something?? Hot passionate see this time of year can lead to some very sexy smells.. Can you bottle that???

The dance floor makes a women sweat and after some hoursif her body odour is overpowered by sweat but some women smell great sweaty.This also can vary between a woman's legs or under her breasts.

A few women I have met have said they miss my smell more than anything hahahha Had one woman say that she wishes she could bury her face in my underarms when she has her period to take away the pain as she says my smell made her feel so relaxed. I absolutely abhor the sickening scents that fellas wear to work.. I have to get in a bus with them, and I swear.. some fellas drown themselves in it during the day too, so it is NOT only going to work I have to put up with it.. but.. coming home as well.. and smoko huts... Jesus..HONESTLY..I would RATHER be seated in the bus with a NATURAL smelling person who hasn't showered in a week, then that damned scent.and.. SOME Women waaaaay over do it too..We all smell to some degree.. ESPECIALLY after a night of dancing or in a pub.. Hell.. remember when smoking was allowed in Hotels .. the odours of a person who had been in one all night was over powering..Go out and have fun... Shower well and preferably together before you get down and dirty...Good foreplay..

Old sweat, and the smell of booze and/or cigarettes coming out of someone's pores. There no hiding those. One man I met for an evening date knew I hated the smell of cigarettes and hadn't smoked since he got up. A lovely gesture, but it made no difference at all.

Only once have I stopped play. I suggested a sexy shower together ( so as not to offend) he declined. I said I wanted us both to get refreshed, he claimed he had just had a shower. He got the hint but it was too late, he was obviously offended and asked 'so we going to do this or not?' Not !!!!!!!! I could get lost in the scent of a nice smelling man, especially the crook of his neck 😉 Mary xx

Smell is one of the least consciously noted sense and yet experiments would indicate it is one of the most powerful for our attraction to the opposite sex and also for triggering past memories. And we do all sorts of things to mess with our natural scents like wear deodorants and take the "pill". While its a more pleasant world if everyone has a reasonably regular bath or shower I personally find a slight natural sweaty smell quite sexy and alluring and find I'm repulsed by strong perfumes or deodorants. That said there are some people who even though they are freshly bathed I find their smell somewhat repulsive. But give me a hot sweaty woman who has had a shower in the last week and I find attractive and I'll revel in her scent and happily carry it with me til my next shower. Probably the animal in me.

As a bloke, while I know the nose's olfactory sensors are important, I didn't realise it played such a big part in whether a woman finds a guy attractive. Good thing to note :)

Meander.. "Hearing" you .. I neither smoke nor drink.. so that helps.. and being a DOMESTICATED caveman.. I shower very regularly.. AND wash my clothes too.. :) I even use a washing machine.. instead of just washing them whilst I swim across a creek to catch a duck.. Freya.. don't know what it is.. but.. it is overpowering.. AND... I HATE HATE HATE the smell of aero guard too... sends all my senses into a major melt down...OF course.. some people say that is because I am probably a bloody insect..

Went out with a guy like that for coffee at lunchtime and he was slightly disheved but he smelt as though he hasn't showered for a day or so and wearing the same clothes from the day before. Another smell that gets to me and it only happened on couple of occasion, mouldy smell on men. Not sure how they get that. Many moons ago (approx 20+ yrs ago) I dated a guy in 20s. He worked in the same company as I did and so he wore nice corporate suits. He was fine looking but smelled of mold, like he just got out of his nana's trunk. That was a turn off. Many years later after my separation, I dated a more mature man in his late 40s/early 50s, a managing director for big company. Again, during dinner, I could smell that mouldy smell. I refused to have another date with him despite his insistence and I could not tell him the real reason because he is such a sweet man.

Mouldy smell can be clothes..not washed or dry cleaned enough or if it's been raining not dried properly..or perhaps if it's a suit hung in the wardrobe with mothballs..the nana smell.xxFreya
