  use the search at all.....I find it a nice perve and all but one profile reads basically the same as the next one and blah..... If I make contact with anyone it's usually because they've appealed to me through what they've written on the forums or what I've seen in chat..... - Posted from rhpmobile

  ..... too many parameters in a small catchment might be the reason ... I generally find it fun to plug in strange combos of age, locations (nearest etc), and what you are seeking .... interesting things come up. i.e. couples no longer together marketing as singles on the couples profile ?? ...or looking Australia wide is interesting ... although it does not generally lead to a lot of skin contact, I have lots of interesting conversations good luck Uly

  Hi Ticklish. As Ulysses said it may be the area you are looking in and the distance from that area you have selected. Try doing the exact same search but in stead of using your selected location, try Perth and 50km instead. You'll find the results are quite different.. Mind you I haven't searched for guys aged 45 to 55 but I assume the stats would be similar to who I might search for. It's a percentage game, by which I mean only a certain percentage of the population would be into the lifestyle and (maybe 0.001% and then only a certain percentage of those are on RHP as active members (maybe 20% of those)? Whatever the numbers are, if your search area has a small population then the results of your search will be small. A larger population will give larger results.

  Thank you for the comments.But I don't see any point in searching locations that are too far away from me.I am not into chat or email and unless there is a likelihood of being able to meet it is just a waste of time. I was just amazed at the results I got.....or lack of :)L

  I didn't realise how little the search function was used by many. I search for ALL female & couples within an area (in my case Vic), active within a week, and seeking men, every few days or so. Clicking on people in the forums, doesn't necessarily show where they are from until after you view their profile. And those using the forums (and/or chat) are only a certain percentage of those on the site. Obviously if you get more messages than you can read or care to read, then why search, but from my side I would have thought searching for members was pretty standard? Otherwise it would appear to be only potluck finding those in your area...
