There has been some great threads raised previously on this issues but also beware it's always a pretty heated topic with some specific posters who are very vocal in their opinion of everyone should be wearing head to toe condoms. It's fairly common in the swinger / couples swapping environment for condoms to be used for sex only and oral is generally without condoms. There are couples who do use them but the amount of dams used for going down on women is almost non existent. The risks of contracting major impact std's (HIV etc) are extremely smaller for oral and this is further mitigated by checking visually before going down, using judgement for choosing partners who seem to be less risky in their types of play, refraining if you have mouth ulcers etc and finally regular std testing to pick up any potential std's that can be treated. Most importantly using condoms for sex. That being said its all based on risk v reward. If your not happy with the slightly increased risk then perhaps monogamy is for more for you. I also believe that signing up to be non manogamous you are pretty much accepting having HSV which at the end of the day IMHO is not a big deal as some people make it out to be. We are one of those couples. Condoms while giving oral is not what we like. Our play normally involves cum being shot everywhere except in the vagina and anus. If people are that paranoid about disease then they should stick to watching porn. We both have been enjoying oral, condom free for 30yrs! and have had zero issues, so luck has fuck all to do with it, you cant be that lucky for 30 yrs, and we are very active. Mr/Mrs Araps, we both have been recently tested and are -ve for HSV, after 30yrs! of being active, so its not a given as this is obviously a reflection of the many partners we have had.

Sorry Social but may have poorly worded that. Wasn't inferring that you are automatically going to get it just by being non monogamous but just inferring your risk is higher and that that getting it is not a big deal anyway. A lot of people have had it and not even realised it and the symptoms have cleared themselves up. My understanding is that HSV is not something early testable anyway unless you have a break out of symptoms in which case then they are able to swab and test - Posted from rhpmobile

For couples such as ourselves who are not comfortable unless safe sex practices are used for all activities. Mr LAL and myself are more than happy to accept we will have a much smaller group of people who will be happy with our play rules.... Oral with each other only and safe sex at all times. To those who say our view means we should be monogamous... It's a pity you need to be so judgemental. I prefer to think everybody has their own views on how they choose to live their life... That doesn't mean being rude towards others for their views Mrs LAL - Posted from rhpmobile

So the above posts confirm that generally most do safe sex but not for oral. Then there's the others who are looking for a lower risk even if that means a lower reward for lack of better words. And then there's the argument that you can contract some STI's even if you are practicing safe sex only in all situations. Even if you trust a person, some STI's lay dormant and/or display no symptoms, so while a partner may be completely trustworthy and honest with you, they may not know if they are carrying something from fifteen years ago. Everyone accepts their own level of risk and mitigates that risk using methods that are acceptable to them. Why should others judge anyone but themselves?

Once upon a time I did attend swingers clubs and parties quite often. I don't think I ever say anybody use condoms or dental dams for oral.

If I can't feel and taste his cock, and he can't drink my ejaculate haha I couldn't see the point really, pretty much the holy grail for me, giving and receiving, but more so giving, no way I'd want a condom on, screw the risks. And I'm a cum slut too face, body, wherever, but usually face. I think it's up to the indivuals though and no judgement here from me for others who choose to do it differently, just not for me

Yeah we are all different and have different dos and don'ts. I am bi-curios and do want to experience giving natural oral to a male AND receive a full male orgasm in my mouth but I would consider natural full sex with a man to be way too risky. Except for one person we know very well and have known for a long time, always safe sex. There have been very few exceptions to the rule, but admittedly, there have been exceptions. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Livingandloving2' It's a pity people throw around the " you should be monogamous " line I will also apologise in advance if you have taken any offence at my editorializing of your original post. In the main, the most dreaded of STD's are biological under quite specific circumstances. That said, you can never be too safe, have too much money nor have too much chocolate stored for a midnight run into the kitchen. Anyone that would or could not respect your wishes is not worth spending time with and thank you for a post that makes a lot of sense.

Quoting 'CandyDelicious' Fingers are just like penises going from one woman to the next. Hope you are all wear gloves and use dental dams too. ...that sells full-body latex condom suits! I bought a dozen and each one came with a pair of matching gloves. The look quite dreadful if I tie to put on a tie that matches but ohhhhh well. Better safe than sorry! Of course I'm kidding... the closure up the back made it impossible to protect everything, especially my feet. They wanted extra for the latex socks anyway.
