I admit I'm no officianardo but i do play with a very large variety of cameras both digital and oldschool. What kind of camera do you have (model and make). And i might be able to give you a step by step simple instruction that will help you out to do it alone.Otherwise i think you've got some takers to help you out Cheers, HH

Hi Sweetpetite suggest use mirrors. We have taken many cool shots of ourselves when [usually] we dont have anyone to take pics. Or set up the movie camera and take shots from that. Or you could drop bi and we will fix you up lol.. Mars

Despite my obvious good intentions to send you a message with some information on your current predicament i can't Seems being single, 21 and a guest member that i can't reach you through message so please bare with me as i try and explain it in here. If this is your camera -> http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Canon-IXY-1000 Then i might have a solution ^_^ Luckily most canon digital cameras share the same layout and functionality. I use a canon digital IXUS 90 1S. So I'll try and give you some form of a step by step while I'm still searching for an actual English manual for your future use. ========================================================================== Ok so your Canon's default settings should be sufficient enough to take the self timer images that you want to start with. As you start getting used to this you can go through your settings and be more creative by having the camera set to take a series of photo's with a set timer between each. If you want that I'll add that later ^_^ The image for self timer on cameras looks like a Clock face with the hands pointing to where 10 would be and also with a small dot where the 12 would be.You should find it on the back of your camera to the right of the screen on the bottom of your wheel. When you have the camera on and ready to take a photo, press down on the wheel as to select the self timer button. It should bring up on the screen some options for the timer you with to use.Commonly your options will be to have a single shot, continuous shot or a choice of different seconds of timers. My suggestion is to start by scrolling down and highlight the 10 second timer (or similar) and press the set button (the one in the middle of the circle). That should have set you up for a single shot self timer. To confirm it your screen should have the selftimer clockface with the number of how many seconds delay you have chosen (for me it appears in the top right hand corner).Once you have that image it's ready. All you have to do is set down the camera where you wish and then press down on your button to take a photo (as if you were taking a normal one). A light should light up on the front of your camera (mines orange but traditionally it's red). If the light begins to flash then that means it's counting down to take the photo and you should hurry up and get infront of it =DI'm sorry if that was not easy to read or obvious, just have to try and make it simple to follow.Let me know how it goes and if you'd like any more help.=> Oh and if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me where did you buy this camera. Because i can't find the make on the Australian or the US canon sites. If you could let me know then i can definately find you a manual. All the best of luckCheers, HH
