Nude in Bali

January 27 2017

Hi forum folk. In the past there have been posts about nuding up in Bali. Well I want to tell you about a resort we just spent 4 nights at right up the top of Bali on the north coast. Bali Au Naturel is an adults only naturalist/ clothing optional resort right on the beach. It only has 12 rooms so it is quiet and peaceful with 2 pools to choose from. A lovely restaurant down the bottom of the garden looking over the ocean, so relaxing. We have been nude at partys and clubs before (regulars at the old Deltas) and the odd nude beach but had never done the "nude all day" thing before so we were I little bit nervous on arrival. No reason to be nervous at all, the staff and other guests made us feel so welcome. In the 4 days we were there the only things removed from our suitcase were our toothbrushes. It was hard to clothe up when we left, Looking forward to our next nude adventure 😎

Wow sounds great. We are off on our first swingers cruise in March around the Carabien but this resort sounds great. Do they have a web page? Sounds like another trip coming up.

we spent a week there and loved it. The beach is not much chop but the pools were great. The local villages are great for exploring.

Please be aware that this is illegal in Bali. I worked there for a number of years and I was contemplating staying there, it's not worth the risk. If the resort is paying the police, things are good. The problem will be if there is a disagreement between the owners, a staff member, local banjar and police get involved. Ramifications in Indonesia for nudity are quite severe, it's a risk I'm not willing to take, when there are other, safer resorts that offer these things.

I'm not sure that I could do the ''nude all day and all night'' thing. I love nudity, love going to the local nudist beach here in Darwin but part of the reason is that is so liberating to get your gear off and sprawl out on your towel letting it all hang out (in a dignified pose of course, not flopping about everywhere). Stay a few hours then leave. Does it not get a bit boring having it all out all of the time? Plus I tend to agree with Saltgirl above, the Balinese (and South East Asia in general) frown down upon overt nudity and think it crude. I would hate to think that locals decided to crack the sads with it one day and complain to authorities about it - how embarrassing to wind up on the news back here having been busted for being naked. But that's just me, others may think it fine.

Don't get too over dramatic. It's a fully fenced, gated and guarded complex. Your not allowed to walk out the back gate to the beach without being clothed. It's been there for years now with no problems and being hours away from the metropolis of Bali I reckon you'll be pretty safe.

We are lucky have a spa and a garden that is walled in, no one can overlook (except the odd helicopter lol) We love the freedom of no clothes Carol & Kevin
