well Cobblers is great for couples, singles, families, or "it's complicated"s I would say that Cobblers is NOT great for "hangs with couples where what is hanging may drop in holes" - besides wanting to keep a family beach family friendly AND not get shut down as clothing optional, there is a solid core of regulars at the beach who aren't shy about maintaining order and tell off anyone doing anything a bit iffy - this could be people who show up and act pervy, or people getting a bit too frisky on the beach.

I use to like going to Little Beach at La peruse.. . but since the gays begun to become the majority it didn't feel right for me or my GF, so we haven't been there for ages.. But that aside , it's a beaut small beach and I seen many couples who seem to enjoy themselves... Like all nude beachs , it has its share of Meerkats lurking in and around the bushes , but youre going to find them at almost any beach these days.. If you can ignore them , you'll have a nice day..

I'd say La Peruse is quite the gay beat these days, particularly behind the beach. Neelrose, my experience of nude beaches is that any action is usually in the dunes behind the beach and you will be surrounded by men who are often wondering around on their own, naked and wanking. But, you do come across a few male wanking circles and male gang bangs too. That's always a bit of fun. Haha Not sure about other couples as my experience is limited in the nude beach scene.

There is Cobblers, Obelisk and Lady Bay.I'll be going to one of those tomorrow if the weather is any good. If you come across a deserted beach then be free! Also try going for a walk to a swimming hole - depends where you go but i've had some amazing nude swims under waterfalls too.

I just checked where you're located Candy and not so much around eastern suburbs but there are some nice ones in national parks around the blue mountains, south west and toward the southern highlands. If you can PM - happy to give you some locations if you're interested.

The action is usually happening during the week or evenings as there is a core group a bit sensitive to public action .. but this core group is as well fun if you just wanna enjoy a nice nude day in the sun .. we had several bbq and other events there. Quoting 'copulater' What is the attraction of a nude beach..? it just feels nicer swimming, its ridiculous just how different it feels simply swimming with a little less fabric on. I prefer an all over tan, and for me in Sydney, the nude beach is the closest beach AND you can actually get parking there! Balmoral is about the same distance, and that is just an exercise in frustration cruising endlessly on the lookout for a parking spot.

Some comments about waterholes above made me go dig out my copy of Wild Swimming, by Sally Tertini & Steve Pollard.Its a fantastic resource and can allow you to find some lovely pristine places to swim (although not legal nude).They are often deserted even in summer holidays.My favourite so far is Lake Eckersley near Heathcote on the southern edge of Sydney. Be prepared for a good walk. Take water and food. And be prepared that there may be other people there occasionally.enjoy

Whilst finding someone with some kind of mutual attraction at a nude beach, a little glance/smile/wink exchanging and the chance for a little discrete naughtiness is a bit exciting, going to a nude beach is always a win win, because even if you don't get any of the above (which 90% of the time doesn't happen), at a minimum it's just a really free and relaxing feeling to undress and chill out at the beach. No need to bring any swimmers, you can just go straight after work undress and you're ready to swim. Some of the best times I've had at cobblers is around Sunset when there's been no one there - it seems strange yet oh so blissful to have a whole beach in Sydney to myself, and being nude in the water is awesome as long as you don't have any fear of a fish coming out of nowhere and biting you precious bits off... :P. And when there's others there, even though I mostly keep to myself, I've found everyone I have chatted to friendly and nice. On a side note though, I have had a couple of creepy moments at Cobblers even as a solo guy, but by no means has put me off going, I'm just more wary if I'm going at off-peak times.
