New research

December 22 2016

Since the new research that has come out regarding female ejaculation aka squirting has come out I have been very embarrassed to orgasm. I had been in a long term relationship and never squirted. The partner I had following him was an amazing lover and the first time I orgasmed with him I had squirted and it was mind blowing. Since then when I orgasm I squirt everytime. But now that this research is out I am very self conscious about it... I mean who really wants to think they are experiencing involuntary incontinence. I am very confused regarding the research around this subject as I will still urinate a full bladder before and after sex. The fluid is clear. Has no odour. Tastes nice and doesn't stain the bed. Does any other women feel this way and how do I get over that embarrassment now? And to add I think the research is completely flawed and a larger trial group should be considered. - Posted from rhpmobile

I can squirt and I'm not embarrassed. Yes, the majority of the fluid does come from the bladder (that's pretty much a definite, because anatomically there is simply nowhere else that such large amounts of fluid could come from), with small amounts of ejaculate from the skene's glands mixed in. However, as you say the fluid is usually quite different in colour and smell compared to urine. When you're really turned on and engaging in sexual activity it seems that the kidneys work much 'faster' so to speak, hence the increased rate of production of fluid that enters the bladder (why you can pee immediately before sex but still squirt minutes later). I suspect that this increased production rate also in some way explains the differences in the fluid from squirting as compared to urine. When it comes down to it squirting isn't some magical, mystical event, but I wouldn't put it in the same basket as urinary incontinence either. It's just another one of those natural things that some women's bodies do when they are sexually stimulated in the right way, and if it produces pleasurable feelings for you then just knowing where the fluid comes from shouldn't negate any of that. Most guys won't have a problem with it, I know there are some guys out there who are turned off by it but as with anything you're never going to please everyone. I was talking to a guy the other day who told me that he's turned off by it, when discussed further it turned out that he'd been with one squirter and the fluid she produced was very similar in colour and smell to urine. I told him that for myself and many other women there isn't that similarity and he seemed willing to explore the matter further, so to speak. Sex is weird and messy, but in a good way. Don't be embarrassed about your body's natural reactions, and don't let anybody make you feel embarrassed about them.

The taste, colour and smell of urine (ammonia ) is highly influenced by ones hydration levels. If you have not had a lot of water to drink then the urine will be darker, and have a stronger taste (urea/uric acid) and smell (ammonia). If you have had a lot of water, then the converse will apply. Alcohol is a diuretic and so if you have had this before sex , then perhaps the lack of odour, taste , colour of the urine expelled during a g spot orgasm, will be less strong and therefore might lead to one thinking that squirting is not urine, when in fact many clinical studies have proven that it is - Posted from rhpmobile

maggie, could you post which research you're referring to? There are a bunch of papers, different methodologies and nobody happy with whichever result comes out.

Is it because it sounds far more romantic /exciting to think it's female ejaculate as opposed to just urine ? - Posted from rhpmobile

And so all those women who boast that they are squirters are actually incontinent ? Lol - Posted from rhpmobile

Wondering if you have been intimate with one of these women who "boast" that they squirt? Have you seen it? Touched or smelt it? Just wondering.

Yes we have . Had a MFMF 4 some and so been up close & personal with said liquid. But don't take our experience as expert opinion . Rather look at the clinical trials, which have analysed the liquid and confirmed its urine . The simple taste, smell test is hardly accurate. After drinking a litre of water, my urine is colourless, tasteless & odourless - Posted from rhpmobile

The only way to know 100% is to have yours tested. Remember it's bound to also be mixed with your own lubricative juices . We tend to rather believe clinical studies, from reputable institutions - Posted from rhpmobile

If it feels good for you when you do..... Why does a research study have that much of an effect on the physical enjoyment you experience?? Way I see it, if it feels good, enjoy it......if not, then do research..... Knowledge may very well be power......but knowledge can also be the biggest headfuck that's really not worthy of your headspace..... - Posted from rhpmobile

How much urea do you have to have before water becomes urine? (possibly by some Sexual Saviour - hazaa! A Christmas miracle From the "new insight" paper's figures, in comparison to urine it has under half the urea, one third the creatinine, and about a third of the uric acid amongst other things. Interesting that there is more urea relative to the other stuff - if it was business as usual I'd expect the ratios to stay the same, even if they were more or less diluted. But, either way, its clearly a different process dumping water out into the bladder than if you were just building up urine as normal. Just because it comes out the same place doesn't mean it must be considered the same way. Quoting 'Missb4u'I'd rather believe my own experiences then some study I wouldn't trust researchers with calibrated testing instruments over a lick of my fingers either ;)

in the grand scale of things, it does not really matter what it is composed of. It could even be nectar of the gods. All that matters is that you have fun and enjoy the sex. - Posted from rhpmobile

I have had a handful of 'squirters' in my life, and I really enjoyed the experience every time! Just on the 'embarrassment' thing: One thing that I noticed, was that every time this 'gush' took place, the women in questions was usually quite embarrassed and apologetic. I did my best to put their mind at ease! "Don't worry my fair lady for I have this towel!" One asked me afterwards if it was a problem, and said she was sorry for wetting the bed. I told her, in full honesty: " I loved it! Wet, messy sex is the best, and also, there is nothing that could turn me on more, than witnessing a woman orgasm and get to such a place that she lets go with such a release. The fact that you let yourself go in the moment is very exciting for your partner too..." So don't be too ashamed or upset or embarrassed, as I'm pretty sure many other guys like myself see it is a pure, liberated sexual release! If you are known to squirt during an orgasm and lose some fluid, just make sure a towel is handy, and maybe let your partner know beforehand just in case, but yeah in terms of what the fluid actually IS...? I have no idea!

I was in a relationship 7-8 years ago with a lovely woman who really had to reign in her orgasms if she didn't want to squirt. I found it a turn on for the most part, just a bit annoying that you couldn't have spontaneous sex without being prepared to make a mess! There was definitely a difference in what was squirted compared to urine. Once we got carried away when she had a full bladder and she accidentally urinated instead of squirting, and the difference was very obvious. I did find that the towels we used to soak everything up did still have a urine smell after drying out, but I believe that's something to do with the acid in both liquids. BTW there's not many things hotter than having a squirter sitting astride your face while performing oral sex on her and letting it all out 😋 - Posted from rhpmobile
