Personally I'm glad they don't shave their armpits! My ex did (he is a bit of a girly boy though in a very masculine body) and it was OK, but I like fur in the pits. It holds their scent. And of that smells good, well everything else is just going to be that much better!Mmmm, I love sucking and nuzzling on a nice spot of armpit fur. I like having some hair on my men... its... well manly. I even like a hairy chest, as long as its manscaped nicely, and just adore a snail trail / treasure trail down to the goodies. To me it is what sets men and women apart.... women all smooth and soft, men rough and mmmm. If I want smooth and soft, I'll pick up a chick... I also checked out profile and found it oddly bizarre that the man has alot more hair than most Aussie guys his age. I'm with you ladies... NO DON"T SHAVE THEM GUYS!!!! We don't all feel this way. I'd be interested to know which background you come from, Ms wannatryus2. I don't know of any where it's the cultural norm for men to have hairless armpits. In fact in continental Europe, for example, I think it's much more common for women to have armpit hair and not feel the need to remove it. At least it was until a few decades ago. The explosion of hairless women in porn and popular culture might have changed things.With the possible exception of a few incredibly vain hypertrendy men, you'd be very hard pressed to find an Australian male who shaved/waxed/whatevered their armpits. The only ones I can think of are twinks in the gay community who aren't interested in women anyway.It's possible to convince men to shave/wax genitals as there's a benefit, they look bigger and there's more skin-on-skin sensation. But I see no benefit and a lot of drawbacks from attacking my armpits with a razor or hot wax. It ain't gonna happen.

Nope I took to manscaping my body hair sometime ago started at my pubic hair and then the clippers went wild from there. .At different times I will clipper my chest and have recently clippered my armpits and shaved them. I am a pretty bulky guy I believe I have never had someone question me about it. .I think I remember a certain bloke with a prominent chest once said he does a bit of manscaping from time to time as well.........hmmmmm he has a fairly "manly" build as well wonder if he is getting complaints ......... .Yup do my legs from time to time too ............ more thank me than say PLEASE Dont so I think it is safe to say the above lovely ladies are a vocal minority!.NO WAY who'd a thunk PBG and Meeka would ever be called a vocal minority bahahahaha ........Ok I think perhaps a chick in a corset wandering around with a bloke in a corset at Hellfire ......once said something about my lack of armpit hair ......now what was her name ???? We are comming from Russian background, so shaved armpits are quiet common thing there as, i'd say, among most European countries. Again, my wife were not asking about body hair in general. We think when it comes to body hair, it is unique for every man. Some might look better with them, some not.

this has become a storm in a teacup. As long as it is not excessive hair, back shoulders and so forth. I don't mind it at all. Being 'manscaped' or totally free of all body hair, is not something that would make me turn down a potential lover either. If I find him attractive then I'm in... or I suppose he's in lol. Different strokes for different folks... Oh and CM I'd love to see your braided man hair... is that really your ass? Sheesh, top notch. ;)

Well quite nice to see that so many of you expressed your thoughts.While we all like different things I do see unshaved / untrimmed underpits being on the line with unchanged underwear, outgrown nails and bad breath. To me it looks like guy doesnt care enough about girl to take care of it.But then again, different cultures. There are so many things local boys do differently here, especially when it comes to "treating a woman". I dont say its any worse or better. Anyway, since I do see that many women like untrimmed hairy underpits , I understand why boys keep them ;)

Ah, Russia! My beloved land of vodka, borscht and borscht-vodka. One of these days I'll cruise to Vladivostok and take the Trans-Siberian Railway to Moscow. Hell, I'll even shave my armpits for the journey! Forgive my comment about "continental Europe" - I meant more of the Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary sort of region. Apparently Russia is leading the charge against armpit hair in women and men!Do spare a thought for Australian men, wannatryus2, especially those of us in the tropics of Queensland. Shaved/waxed hair is hotter because the skin sweats more and is more prone to getting fungal infections. Just compare how many women get thrush from those have a bush like nature intended to those who are waxed. In Russia I'm sure men can take their hair off and wear synthetic fibres and be all the better for it. But in QLD that's a recipe for tinea. Not to mention ingrown hairs. Ew. Keeping them as it is I'm afraid until I dock in Vladivostok and unleash my Roubles upon the unsuspecting women of Russia until I get to Finland. Das vedanya!

Totally no offence meant here, just saying, for running your only talking millionths of a second, however with swimming it does make a huge difference. With Water Polo, unless you’re used to getting it tugged out of you best to shave too, or it is real easy for opponent to grab and drag you under with. Good fun though lol Quoting 'Baby_face' I've just started shaving mine. I'm not doing it for anyone else, I think I just do it because it makes me feel more aerodynamic when I go running. Lol.

I am man I am hairy I am masculine I am Homus Erectus I am a descendant of Neanderthal I do shave both heads and face, trim other areas too but body hair is my masculinity and suits me, (nor do I have any on top) how ever if the right lady wanted me totally waxed and she excited me in mind body and sole, then I might partake in this venture but she would need a little more than just beauty to go so such lengths. Then if I was to design my self for her wishes there are a few I would like too in return, keeping it a little even. (I don’t mean shaving her head, lol) In some sports many do it, swimming, wrestling and boxing etc. Swimming is obvious to save the drag so to speak yet I have swam in competitions and played Water Polo at high levels, yet I didn’t shave, painful but didn’t as I believe it shows me as man, it helps hold by natural sent a little but also if you wash it with shampoo rather than soap and maybe a bit of conditioner, then your just like a big huge life size fluffy cuddly teddy bear for the lady to snuggle up to and some may like this too Lol. Those that do and don’t gain anything in a particular sport want to look less masculine for some reason (feminine or boyish). Hygiene has nothing to do with it. Believe this is where the term metrosexual originated from. Wiki :- The typical metrosexual is a young man with money to spend, living in or within easy reach of a metropolis — because that’s where all the best shops, clubs, gyms and hairdressers are. He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference. Saying all of the above, just like shaving and trimming below it may end up as a way of the future. (though do some research and those with hair round these areas can be more sexually aroused do the scent held within the pubic hair as the places - armpits and genital area have different sweat glands that also give of a hormone in turn can increase sexual arousal in your partner. So not to keen to shave both areas.

Sorry if my previous sounded bit bias towards you, that was not ment at allThere may not be much of what you seek here, but you will find it, how ever not every Russian shaves there arm pits either and obviously it is a different culture here.I believe it is mainly in the sommer months that Russan men shave this area is it not? In the end it doesnt matter as it is your preference.I am sure that if you find some one you want to take it futher with and get on mutually that they may go for a wax before your meet.It is all part of the adventure.You do seem to be a well ballanced couple both with good figures then the added accent that a lot of people would like and your profile is obviously what you want and seek so i am sure if you request them to clear some of the jungle for you some would.

I'm from Europe and have been to nearly all the countries there with work and have partied in many many areas. I for one KNOW that NO country in Europe has a culture of men shaving their armpits. Australian is not in an exception rule. Australian men are the same as any man in the world, apart from Russia. As for the women, it is very common for European women, even in France against general perception, to shave their armpits. I'm talking from experience and don't like generalisation based on thoughts.I for one, will not be shaving my armpits but shall continue to wax my chest and crotch area.One this which I'd like to figure out, is should us men also wax our bums and legs??

I have been shaving mine for 18 or so years :) i hat the smell of sweat in the hair so logic said shave and hey presto the odder is gone but i believe aussie blokes are brought up on V8 cars and Okka Aussie beer and that leaning a little to the left or right to far may have their buddies call em gay. Grow a set and just tell em that's not what you missus said last night ;)

I'm a proud citizen of Oz who also hold two other Citizenship and well accustomed to a variety of cultures. In my background women are expected to remove all their pubic hair as part of preparing for intimacy. Men are also encouraged to maintain some armpit hair. Trimmed but never too short. I however find that its not very clean and the sweat odour doubles with hair length. So I practice my own less commonsense and shave it clean . I also wear quality aluminium free deoforants so three is no risk of pore blockage due to close shaving . Result is clean looks and no sweat smell whatsoever. I know some ladies appreciate the hygiene and other the unique smell of their lover. Each to their own to express their desire to their own lover(s). I don't care about taboos and traditions.

Had never really thought about it but have recently started thinking about what parts of me if shaved would be a turn on to women. Have on just started trimming my crutch and only just got over the itchiness that occurs with it. If I shave my armpits would probably start looking like a monkey scratching my armpits cause they are itchy lol

Sounds like the general consensus is that men should be men and... mmm anyway I won't say it lest I offend anyone. The male pattern of hair growth (and loss - sorry fellas) is determined by testosterone, which also determines sex drive, no wonder most women aren't overly fussed about a bit of manly hair.... We are originally predisposed to seek out the hairier sex. GRRRR as long as its not shoulders backs etc, let me at it!!!

I too don't get how letting it grow like Rapunzel's hair in you arm pits and between your legs is 'manly', I see it as basic hygiene but I guess everyone has their prefence; not to mention my eastern/asian background might have something to do with this

For a guy to shave his armpits is just wrong. I like a guy who takes care of his body hair but the armpits is one area that needs to be left alone. As mentioned in another comment, it holds their scent which can be a turn on for me. As long as the guy is clean and smells good then leave it alone.

Redi4u, I have never seen a man with armpit or any body hair for that matter with length the proportion of 'Rapunzel'. Slight over exaggeration perhaps? It actually stops growing at a certain length. I have never experienced a man with armpit hair having any sort of smelly problem... guess it just comes down to attention to hygiene.

I have recently begun shaving my armpits, as I have been shaving my chest for quite a while, and the missus loves it! I like it too, I think it looks better and I have no BO, even after a hard sesh in the gym. Win win in my books

love (men's) armpit hair. the only time i'd ask for a trim is if you seriously did have rapunzel style long flowing locks. but given that armpit hair, like all other body hair, generally has a maximum length it gets to before it falls out, it's highly unlikely. and in terms of what should and shouldn't be done, imho if your mouth is going there, it's polite to trim/shave/wax. until armpit fellatio becomes a new trend... guys? don't stress...
