Meeka is right, I had a 25yo hit on me at Transport Bar in Melbourne one night, then I had another tell me he was going to dominate me. I bit his lip as he went in to kiss me, then I muttered, I doubt you will be the one doing the dominating, let his lip go and slapped his arse as I left. Get out amongst it! Melbourne has great night life, and great weather this weekend :)

At Whites Nights the whole bloody state of Victoria turned out, 7 billion bloody people in like a 2kms radius in 33 degree heat, yep you would have met someone last Saturday night or at least stepped over them Suggest the bars of Southbank, King Street or head up to Collingwood, Brunswick or Fitzroy - you'll meet someone.

in Melbourne. Try St. Kilda. so many places. The Espy or Vineyard for bands, or meeting people, In St Kilda, try Claypots. small bar with good bands and reasonably priced good food (bar and restaurant). Friendly staff and locals and tourists. You can go on your own ( most of them are there on own their own) and strike a conversation with people. very chatty people from all walks of life. Fitzroy, Brunswick and Windsor/Prahran def a goer. Lots more relaxed and bohemian. Good strip to check good food and music and live bands and funky bars. People are friendly, Like West End in Brisbane. And how can you not visit the Melb laneways.. hey. you blink and you miss a good little bar or music place tucked in the cobbled laneways of Melb. So depending on your taste, you could be looking at really modern funky bar to rock bars (eg ACDC lane) to chill bars. Endless in Melbourne. Just be friendly and you'll make a friend or two. If you are sporty, like me, try indoor rockclimbing like Hard Rock on Elizabeth street. You meet all sorts there. You can go on your own (all skill levels) and be placed in a group and then you are partnered with someone to belay you and vice versa. Good luck...
