November 27 2013

Now I know what you might be thinking..... but get your mind out of the gutter!, I'm just looking for a massager for my back . I get a lot of pain and would like to know of a decent hand held massager. Anyone tried a good one?

It's the new M.E. Model. Or you could try one that you have to buy :) - Posted from rhpmobile

I have tried a lot of massage machines for a sore back... none really worked that well (for me). The best thing I found was a persons hands as they can feel the lumps, bumps and other strange things. If the masseuse is good they can move the muscles back into place. Also having someone else give the massage (rather than trying yourself with a machine) means you relax better and so you gain more benefit. A friend comes to Sydney every month for her Remedial Massage course and I get to be her guinea pig for what she learns... is so awesome am thinking of doing the intro course just to gain better skills. Maybe ask prospective suitors if they mind giving you a massage... can't hurt and you may be surprised at the dual benefits. (whoops... close to the gutter) SG

Homedics - I have model PA-400H but that's quite old now. I'm not sure what their latest models are. It's large and not suitable for travel, but it does a great job of easing surface tension - fascia etc. Nothing beats the hands of a skilled massage therapist, but my trusty mains-powered proxy has seen me through countless aches and pains. And yes, it's multi-purpose :)

for your comments, yeah I see a remedial massage therapist every now and then but just wanting something in between times, the muscle cramps up and I was hoping for something that would just release it
