Feelings....

January 04 2010

I'm not one for emotions. My normal dispositon is one of indifference. I dont cry at funerals... I sit at the service lamenting the fact that I don't cry. Sure I feel the upset of the people around me that are in so much pain... I feel like a camellion... but I usually feel nothing myself.  I have to go to extraordinary lengths to get feelings. My children will tell you though that I'm really good at "cranky". At the funeral ther was a little girl and she aw everyone crying... so began whaling louder than anyone.. she had no idea why.. and her cry was fake... obviously fake... mum and dad had to take her outside. I thought she was just like me... and I wished I was outside too.   A very clever man sent me a note with a quote that I don't think I understand, but it seems worth exploring... what do you think?   He quoted a movie.....  "underneath hurt is pain and underneath pain there is love"   I mean, when people get really pissed off with me, I think... OK ... well, at least they're not indifferent. If I feel hurt... hmmm ... is that interesting.. or is it just the effect of being so confident that I'm a total Narcissus? I mean, I have great legs.   Stalky

It's my feelings that make me just a little different from someone else.  How I choose to react is never predictable.   I have a magnetic Feelings chart on my filing cabinet at work.  It says, "Today I Feel" and u place the little square over the feeling u have.   There's 30 feelings on the list: Exhausted, Confused, Ecstatic, Guilty, Suspicious, Angry, Hysterical, Frustrated, Sad, Confident, Embarassed, Happy, Mischevious, Disgusted, Frightened, Enraged, Ashamed, Cautious, Smug, Depressed, Overwhelmed, Hopeful, Lonely, Lovestruck, Jealous, Bored, Suprised, Anxious, Shocked, Shy.   Right now I feel: SAD Earlier I felt: Mischievous     Hugs xxx Ms Saturn

I think your friend has a twist on an old Spanish Proverb: " Where there is love there is pain"The Spaniards also have "Where there is life there is love" at least I think it is the SpanishA better saying is  “Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust.”So to love you have to expose yourself to pain and anyone that has had a deep relationship go south know the truth of these saying.

Hi stalky ..To me it takes a strong mind to have real confidance..these are often needed to help, one through life.that would have shaped you...eg how you view things..and gleen what you want to take on board..and disguard the rest. But i wouldnt call you a narcissus.....not in the true sense..lmao....one also have to have confidance to love oneself, after allwe only have ourselves..at the end of the day...and it what  draws people to you..You embrace the moment...by the sounds of things...positive attitude..So ya dont fit the criteria....lolxoxomummaluv's me myself n i ....lmao

More than likely that body armour of yours is holding you back so you don't get hurt. Don't start to feel and therefore can't get hurt.   As for legs, well you have to do a "Mynameonurlips" pose for us. LOL   Now what would Freud say? Probably something to do with repressed sexual feelings.

Very insightful Captain Jacl Sparrow. :p Why else would one wear armour?   Freud would say that I didn't get nurtured enough.   Hugs Stalky
