Endometriosis

March 01 2014

Please wear something yellow for.the month of march.for Endmetrosis Awareness Month Endometriosis is where the lining of the uterus lives and bleeds/ gets inflamed and acts like the normal lining of the uterus except it isn't in.the right spot Endometriosis is a real condoption/ disease that needs alit of research done in it still as the average time for a women to be proper diagnosed is 7 yrs. Endometriosos affects fertility, affects relationships as sexual intercourse can be sometimes impossible to do as the endometriosis can be infiltrated into the cervix which can hurt like hell... Personally I have endometrosis and sometimes I can be in pain.all month or pain free all month so it is unpredictable... Fortunately i had 3 children and sex hasn't been affected however depending on the cycle depends if the cervix is tender... I'm very passignation about the Awareness as more research aNd education is nended as can you believe in.2014. GPs aNd lay people still think it is all in the womens head or.there pretending to be in pain to obtain narcotics. PLEASE where some yellow for march... Cheers bronchic - Posted from rhpmobile

Wear yellow,Also have suffered from a mild form of this, not pleasant at all but I have had children; where other women cant. My symptoms only appeared in my mid twenties, so I guess I was one of the lucky ones. This is another medical problem that does need support - so yellow here we go!Justus..

I go for explorative surgery next week. They will put a scope through the urethra to look into the bladder. I have also asked them to look into the uterus via the cervix if possible, during the same general anaesthetic . How else do they diagnose? Can the uterus examination be done without general anaesthetic? I am at my wits end and feeling totally powerless here and at the mercy of a gynae and urologist who don't really say much, nor listen to my symptoms. Hence suffering now for almost a year. - Posted from rhpmobile

They can diagnosed me via a laproscope back in 2006 found a chocolate cysts. ( cyst on ovary filled with endometrium blood) and they also found fibroids and polyups in.uterus... Jump to 2012 Had another lap where they found more endo within.the walls of the uterus ( adenomyosis) they inserted a Merina IUD to settle the uterine pain well that was the idea.. and I will be back having another lap aNd d&c plus a new merina IUD in May...to see.if that wI'll make all my increasin pain decrease again.. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Jason_Leslie'I am at my wits end and feeling totally powerless here and at the mercy of a gynae and urologist who don't really say much, nor listen to my symptoms. Hence suffering now for almost a year. I am sorry that you are suffering. I had endo and ovarian adhesion taken out twice now under a general. I had a mirena put in the last time (5 years ago) and that has been a life safer (and for my sister too who had the same problem). If you have a gynie etc not listening to you maybe its time to find a new one. There are alot of fantastic ones out there.Good luck.Pusscat xxx

Hi I had my significant endo patches surgically removed just yesterday morning under general - I even had it on my bladder and appendix!! - am home recovering in bed and looking forward to getting my healthy life back! Tried different non-surgical treatments for 8 months before biting the bullet and booking surgery. Hoping it will sort me out! (Mrs) - Posted from rhpmobile

Bronchic, Please send some details of support groups as I, Leslie, would like to attend. What causes Endometriosis - ie the initial trigger ? Too much sex , too vigorous ? or having kids - C-Sections ?
