Soft lighting is much more flattering for us older ladies!! Of course Darlink I am 25. Although can't be helped when you do it in the day time. I don't like full darkness. I want to see my lover and the look in his eyes.

My definite fav is a couple of candles in the vicinity. Not too bright with enough light to see everything (and as meeks says being able to see partners face). Lights off - turn off.

just a lightshade or candlelight however I got now poor eyesight bloody old age and when I take my glasses of I can only see the outline of a person until I get very close.The good part of this you don't see all the wrinkles of a person or imperfections.howeverI like a bit of light because its nice to see someone its more erotic I think.

I have dragonfly mini lights in my bedroom which look so gorgeous when they are on n all the other lights off! Or the bedside lights stay on! When we are taking pics the lights are on.. The pics turn out better! But sometimes I love the dark n you feel your way.. Mr cheeky likes the lights on all the time - he likes to see all!!! Great topic too OP

HmmmmmI will 'take' the woman Im with when the urge strikes me..... that may be at any time of day (or anywhere for that matter).....so it is only a consequence of time and place if there is light, or not.But if its night, I do prefer the flickering light of candles.Plus, theres the potential for warm wax if the mood becomes especially adventurous.DG

for me too.A couple of candles is perfect and you can always still use a blindfold At one stage I had fairy lights around the room, that was pretty also.When there is a full moon, that is lovely too.Yep, soft warm light, so I can still see the twinkle in the eyes and those kissable lips.

We have really nice reed/flower arrangements with in built lighting. Just the right mood when playtime comes around with Rhp friends!

Yes have to agree candles are a preference when a planned meet is happening.. unless of course youre in a sand dune or in the rain....

I have a little touch lamp with three brightness settings. It has a pink lampshade and is the PERFECT lighting for any sexual situation. I don't like doing it in the dark, I need to be able to see what I'm doing. Groping around in the dark is a bit of a turn-off. That and I'm clumsy as all hell and more likely to hurt myself or my partner :P- Ms Otori.

Pretty much agree with all of the above - daytime adventures are well lit - apart from closing the blinds so our neighbours don't watch (they're elderly - might give them heart attack lol).And also, it kinda depends on the kind of sex we're having. When we're taking our time and having a lovely session, we have these electric candles and are encased in a traditional wax candle and the mood lighting from them is perfect without worrying about flying knickers catching fire!But if we're tucked up in bed and having a quickie before sleep, usually the lights stay off so we can just go straight to sleep after.Mrs IAT

NOW - What the heck..lights ON/Lights OFF...lights DIM/Lights BRIGHTIf I get up out of bed and if they see my little wobbly butt and bits - Who cares ??I see it like this.."Any man who sees my body will look and will see it differently from theirs" (goes Vice- versa) So now I want to give my partner, a "visual performance" as much as possible.FOXY

you have to go with the mood lighting for sure, it just adds to the whole experience. it really does set the scene for what special moment and all those moments should be special.you never get that time back again.just my thoughts :)

do it in the dark,sometimes ....but usually there are candles wafting my favourite fragrances of sandalwood and cedar and providing just enough light to see ......and if I don't want to see ,I wear a blindfold...nothing hotter than that for me...all my senses engaged except sight. Do I do it in daylight,absolutely ,crisp white linen and entangled limbs with the filtered light through my window making shadows.....lovely. Sometimes there is nothing more erotic than to see your lover clearly,watch every flicker,every shudder of pleasure in the clear light of day.......and to see ,not just feel everything about them.....,and to see them watching me as I come apart .

... but I really want to do it underneath the flashing blue of a police light (and I'm jealous of those of you who have!).Like InAdditionTo, after all these years of liberation and body acceptance (ie, having some form of lighting), and even though I'm a very visual creature, there is something exciting about that middle-of-the-night, tap-on-the-shoulder, done-in-the-dark, just-gotta-do-it session.

I know you all find fragrance and candles to be romantic. However, I find a lot of fragrances to be cloying for my tastes. I also go all OS&H when it comes to candles. I don't want any accidents or my smoke alarm to go off. Perhaps I need to find someone who knows what she is doing.

The most important ingredient for any sexual experience is firstly having a woman resent ......that established then we can worry about the lighting .........and amazingly sex is good under all light conditions.......that said soft lighting can enhance the experience....... and I'm right there with you Freya

I identify with Ding Candles or soft lighting is good for me, I like to get a sense of what I'm eating. Having said that wandering around the dark corridors of a certain establishment in my misspent youth I stumbled into a very dark corner and really enjoyed the wandering hands etc in the total darkness. So in the right situation total darkness is pretty Hot too. must figure out if that joint is still open lol Birdieboy

They seem to reduce the oxygen in the room. I keep the windows closed in case I get noisy. Found I was running out of air. I just have a soft table lamp which occasionally I will wrap a diaphanous scarf around. It doesn't produce much heat so no fire problems (yet).
