Darwin Holiday!

Hi everyone! We are heading to Darwin in the middle of August,We are both easy going people who love a laugh and to get out and see things. We enjoy all aspects of life from site seeing to fishing, boating, the night life,camping,  cooking, dinners, she likes dancing, Would also love advice of any good area's to go! We will be traveling from Darwin down the central part of Australia.We fly over and return in a friends van traveling all the way back to the bottom east coast of Victoria!Cheers Jodie and Dean

    When in Darwin what to do......lots but little........if you like it warm and humid then this is a great place On the adult entertainment scene cant tell you much as didnt spend long enough there and the company I had didnt allow for it :-( For a fishing charter I found Arafura Blue to be excellent, flew back with 60 litre esky of fish......... The old WW2 oil tank tunnels are worth a gander if they are open when you are there as is the aircraft museum out at the airport. The Minidil Beach Market is great to spend some time at too. Then when heading south you can do the Litchfield National Park is worth a run around too. Great day trip to visit the falls etc. Dont take a sedan to "The Lost City" though ...... the sand will swallow it........lol Thats all for now from Tour Guide Lets

    thanks guys for all the info you have given me.i have been told by a few to make sure we go to mindle beach markets. think we may also try the nudist beaches! we havent experienced that so that would be great to do. ill check out what the night life is like there for adult entertainment and see how we go! nice2 benaughty we have never done this type of thing before and we have been asked by friends if we were interested in driving the van back and we think it would be a great adventure, were traveling right through the central. thanks guys and if any one is interested in meeting up there just let me know!cheers jodie

    Mindil Beach markets a must - get there when they open at 5pm..so you can catch the sunset... Howard Springs Reserve for a swim with the Turtles and Barra... Mataranka - Thermal pool, like a scene out of the movie "Cocoon" lol Have a ball - can wait to return

    I have just moved here Im really looking forward to seeing what the "DRY" has to offer but I hope you arent too keen on nightlife as it is lacking here. The wharf precinct has great food and is very affordable and you can feed the fish watch the sunset or try the beachfront hotel nice pub right near the water Darwin is fairly nice but very quiet as far as cities go but you will have fun up here

    the night time adult entertainment and get togethers are pretty easy to find up here so chat to a few of the couples they should be able to point you in the right direction
