Condom Recommendations

November 24 2009

It's been a long, long time since I last wrapped up before going to play, but since we've signed up here and we're keen to experience new things with others, obviously there are good reasons for using condoms, either for intercourse or for other things, depending on who we're playing with. The thing is, the last time I used a condom it pretty well sucked. Actually, people might pay extra for a condom that sucked, but that's beside the point. It was a plain white latex thing, which looked and felt terrible and really did nothing to help the mood. It did the job, but surely there must be a better option. Something thin but strong, easy to put on, maybe something flesh-coloured and unobtrusive that won't make little me look like a bank-robber in a stocking. When I go to the shops, or look online, there are literally dozens of different condoms to choose from, and I have no idea what's what, so I thought I'd ask in here for opinions/recommendations from guys, girls and couples as to their preferred condom. What do you use/prefer, and why?

I don't recommend Ansells Ultra Thin because they split real easy, and you don't want the worries!

Durex Featherlite's are the way to go...they are thin, don't really get in the way and 've found they keep you quite sensitive...oh, and I havent had one break yet...other than the time i ran out of water-balloons in the middle of a fight ;)   Cheers,   Michael

@casually_casual Definitely don't want the worries, thanks for the tip. Back in the day, I saw a pretty bad breakage rate (like about 1 in 10) and a couple of scares, so I'm pretty keen not to repeat that.@Want_my_ass Thanks for the offer but I'm not entirely sure the other half would be thrilled with me giving out our address to someone we don't know. Ahh, what a crappy world we live in when one bloke can't send another bloke a bunch of frangers in the mail lol. Maybe if you could pass on the brand name? Who knows, someone here might sell them.@mc21283 I've seen the durex fetherlite around and just read a few reviews which are pretty positive, although a couple of people had concerns about them splitting. A couple of people also mentioned they're a bit too short as well, but I'm hung like a peanut, so what does that matter? :) Ok, that was a joke. I'm at least a cashew, maybe even a brazil nut... Ladies ;)Any other thoughts, recommendations?

and don't get it in your head that you wont have a good time with a condom. You will if you put you mind to it and just find what suits you.

I just use ansell larger at moment as sick of buying some of the fancy ones and finding them just to small or short.  There is too much variation in size of the normal size i have discovered. Some are an ok fit while some just are not going on no mater how hard to try.  Oh and what the hell happened to larger condoms in shops? I can only find them in sex stores these days as all the supermarkets don't stock them.. grrr

Looks like the Ansell Zero might be worth a crack (so to speak) along with the Durex Fetherlite and the Contempo Nuda, which almost sounds like a sports car - do they have racing stripes? :)Pharmacy Online seems to have some pretty good prices, so I might order a pack of each and ask my better half to help test drive them. That could be fun in itself!@desserts Good advice. I've heard that a lot of guys overthink it and end up having trouble, so I'm trying to see it as just a bit of fun rather than a problem. Thanks everyone for your opinions!

MANIX have a great range, mainly available IGA, Ritchies Supermarkets.   King size 54mm bigger than most other brands. Non Latex Condoms also for those with allergies. And other standard sizes etc...   Never broken one yet sliding it onto a man and I have long fingernails. They are in disc dispensers facing right side up so very easy & quick to pop on your man.     Happy shopping.   Shell & Mike

...oh you skite, blowing your own horn haha if only we all could! Actually I've found that using the larger size gives much better sensation as there is a little more room and the slightly loose feel seems to make it feel more natural. I wouldn't think this would work for everyone as if they are too loose then there'll be a problem! Some of the standard types seem to cut off the blood supply and sensations go with it.
