Cobblers etiquette

Just wanted to ask, what is the etiquette for nude beaches? Cobblers was great today and a lot of people, but a couple of times we had guys literally come sit right up next to us and start stroking themselves (in dark glasses) . . or several guys walking up and down the beach in dark glasses . sloooowwllly. It's like 'dude, you are so obvious". At one point we had to move to get away from creepy dude. The good thing was for every creepy guy there was a nice one or a nice couple or two. Keen on feedback as to what others experience/do? Also keen to meet people who go down so we have some friends to go with (may mean the lurkers stay away?)

    We have never had any issues with the people that attend Cobblers Beach, you do see men walk of into the bush, probably doing their thang, but none that have been disrespectful or have been show ponies. We go there by boat & swim in, sometimes the odd person is curious & swims out, but never crossing the line. It must have been a bad day when you visited. We aren't really regulars to that beach.

    that's pretty odd for Cobblers IMO - generally it's pretty well accepted that your etiquette there is "use it like a normal beach - just without anything on". It's also usually super family friendly, and a good crew of regulars (usually just beyond the rock shelf that sticks out) that effectively police the beach if anything untoward happens, but it's generally very PG there, sometimes young families (amusingly unlike a regular beach where toddlers might be nude, here it's the adults and the kids in full rashies and hats). Don't let it put you off going though, its generally a very tame and friendly beach. I'm usually 50/50 about wearing my sunglasses there - on the one hand, there can be so much glare it's blinding, and there's no danger of surf knocking them off; on the other hand, you look like you're 'dark glasses perving', when really, you're just walking to the water. There is also a Facebook group full of the men and women who are regulars there, it's all PG too - just a bunch of folks who like going to a little beach :-)

    Seems very unusual for something like that to happen at Cobblers,as a single female i have spent plenty of time there with no hassles,i have got to know some regulars,we chat hang out and have a laugh with no dramas,hopefully it was a one off,have chatted to loads of guys with no issues or dramas.Sara X

    I have to agree with the others ..Cobblers is usually all good without the suspicious guys in black glasses .. let's hope cobblers keeps the privacy we all like to enjoy there!! - Posted from rhpmobile

    In my experience that is a normal thing at optional clothing beaches. It is a turn off for going there for men, and women especially. I go to Birdys and sometimes feel like going postal on the over the top brazeness. I am ok with voyeurism but it is suppossed to be consesual. When it is not it is criminal. - Posted from rhpmobile

    So far we can only say Cobblers has been great, friendly people no one has been pushy you usually get a great crowd, it's even been good on quite weekdays. We like to get a spot on the sand but have also ventured over to the rocks on the right-hand side when it's been packed on the beach.

    I have been cobblers quite a few times either on my own or with female company. Personally I like finding a quiet little spot, lying back, resting hat on the head to have a little nap/chill out in the sun. With the occasional dip in the water to cool down. From what I have seen/experienced as both a single guy and when there with female friends there hasn't been anything untoward happen to couples or single females there. I think generally speaking there enough level headed people who would be able to help you out if anything bad was happening or you felt uncomfortable. But in saying that there will always bee the odd occaision when someone tries to ruin it for others so maybe it was a bad day that you went.

    We head out to Cobblers at least twice a month and have NEVER had any issues. There are always the guys that pace the beach but they are harmless. I've seen guys play with their junk a bit just because when you get out of the cold water... Well, no one wants to turtle too bad! All in all we've had good experiences.

    All this talk about Cobblers makes me wonder whether I have actually spoken to met any of you guys.I parked my boat just off shore on the 27th of December oralcpl. I wonder if I said hello to you? Were you the guys on the big mother fuckin boat with a few couples on there? lol. The time before that I chatted with a single woman lying next to me on the beach. I had a gf with me at the time. I wonder if that was you Sara1999????? lol.

    When I go to Swanbourne I make a point of giving people space when I lay out my towel it's just respect. Once with a female friend we had just got comfortable when the guys nearby all decided to up camp and move closer for a perve, I told the first one to fuck off and the rest followed suit. Seriously? Worse than blow flys.

    We have been going every second weekend, and have met couples on beach, wish there where more good looking men for wife to admire on, But we enjoy the small bay and social aspects of cobblers, We last weekend found three men taking photo's Is there not enough free porn sites to go home to, than couples walking naked But over all we love the spot

    thank god for nice people as i was in the carpark scratching my head figuring out which direction i was walking to lol. The walk down was nice and stony and pebbley. get to the beach and it is almost packed at 11am! the tide was low so at least there was more sand. I found a spot on the grass. No problems seen or arisin from the people around. It was a great atmosphere and i dont know if it was because it was the day time and pretty hot that there werent that many people acting strange :) only downfall: a kookaburra stole my sandwich! from my hand! lol

    I have been going there for too many years to admit too, and you do get the odd guy that is annoying, usually the ones who think that nude beaches are obviously about sex, and not getting rid of those annoying suntan lines. I will say that sometimes very late in the day things can sometimes get a little interesting but that's very late in the day...... I like the friendly atmosphere. I used to go with my daughter and granddaughter we did the whole family thing with a nice picnics. On a packed day on the beach you can get a lot of people laying a little close, which I even find annoying, but its a small beach.

    I've never experienced anything like that at Cobblers. Like some have said, there's plenty of regulars walking around, chatting and introducing themselves. If you see someone doing that and it makes you uncomfortable, tell them off.

    Thank you, really appreciated your feedback. It's our third time down and had no issues before BUT it was new years day and it was packed! Maybe we need to get a boat :)

    Hi Everyone and thank you all for your feedback. It was really appreciated. It was possibly just a one off as the day was packed (it was new years day) and a lot of people may have been coming down from the day before. We did meet and talk to a couple of nice people (saw a stingray) so that was totally normal beachy thing to do .. just the creepy glasses guys and the dude who practically sat on us and played with himself was a little abnormal . . We will definately go again of course! We went to a normal beach today and it was screaming kids, beach bro's playing cricket and boozed up teenagers so we know which one we prefer. thank you and as mentioned, if you are going down or go down regularly pop us a note as friends are good. Thank you again
