Are we alone?

November 13 2013

Do you believe in extraterrestrials?Have you had an experience that made you think or confirmed for you that we are not alone in the universe?Or perhaps you are one and would like to share your story? And no,watching the movie ET over 100 times does not qualify as evidence.

had a series called "Ancient Aliens" which certainly raised a lot of questions. Zachariah Sitchen writes extensively on this very subject, and his books and understandings once again, makes it difficult to discount the theory Imamnual velikovsky took the personal individuals out of mythical beliefs of ancients, and suggested they were cataclysmic events happening within our solar system of planetal collisions and near misses.   One of the problems we have with believing our governments would TELL us what they know is this.. Consider what would happen if the governments collectively and suddenly told us, that what Sitchen sugests, is in act truth -- Anicents travelled to earth in search of GOLD to protect their own failing atmosphere, ans created mankind through DNA manipulation - That these Space people have manipulated our growth and scientific knowledge since then - that they do so today, AND regularly visit Earth - AND of course, that they will come back, and interfere or intervene at a major level in the near future... Life on earth would probably change dramatically.. Religion would be a non event EXCEPT for those groups who still believe THEY are the ceation of those spacemen -- THEY might get a bit more passionate.. AND how may people would give up HOPE that there is somethingto look foraward to in life and the afterlife?   Freya -WHO knows?? Certainly looking forward to reading some of the contributions on the topic.. if any come

There are estimate of 400 billion stars in our own milky way galaxy alone. There are around 150 billion galaxies in an area spanning 13 billion light years in all directions for earth which means there are a un-fathomable amount of stars and planets in the known universe. I think anyone has to be pretty narrow minded if they think out of all the estimated planets in the universe that we are the only ones with life on it...If the chances of life on other planets was something minuscule like .0000001% that still a massive amount of planets in our own galaxy alone.

But I love this   http://htwins.net/scale2/   Really makes you wonder about it all and where we fit into this place.   And yes I do believe there is, And it may be closer than what we think. Jupiter's moon Europa is hypothesised to have life very much similar to life found around volcanic vents in the depths of our oceans.

Had a strange dream about being probed the other night.... or maybe it wasn't a strange dream... hmmm.As for believing, whilst sceptical, I am open to the idea that there is other life in the universe. As Indy says it would be kind of arrogant for us to believe we are the only intelligent life out there though with the requirements for life being what they are the chances are slim.My fear is "If there is intelligent life out there and they come here, it's going to be like Columbus and the Indians, only we're the Indians."

What gets me is that everyone expects that Aliens will be Humanoid in appearance . Maybe they will be microscopic . Go deep enough into the ocean and I reckon you'll find that the Aliens are already here . Take a closer look at Insects . They're pretty fucken freaky too . Or what about the Lizard People ? Like Tony Abbott . GG♒️- Posted from rhpmobile

Loved watching Mork and Mindy in the 80s. And I do believe there is intelligent lifeform out there and a parallel universe is very probable. Just a little scary thinking there might be another one of me floating around up there. Nanu nanu :)- Posted from rhpmobile

everything Zachariah Sitchen wrote makes sense. He took Genesis apart looked at ancient drawings and literature and again in my mind it makes sense. He said from an evolution time humans could not have developed in this thinking human in a natural time frame we suddenly made this evolution jump.I believe also our Governments know. I believe in beings outside our solar system ......WHY NOT. Why should we be the only once we dont even know how far it goes....is the universe infinite or will it end somewhere....we dont know .....yet.

I feel certain that is other life out there, in many many different forms but I don't think I believe that they come all the way here to graffiti our food crop fields. The distances are just enormous. Beyond enormous. Quoting Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything "Such are the distances, in fact, that it isn't possible, in any practical terms, to draw the solar system to scale. Even if you added lots of fold-out pages to your textbooks or used a really long sheet of poster paper, you wouldn't come close. On a diagram of the solar system to scale, with the Earth reduced to about the diameter of a pea, Jupiter would be over 300 metres away and Pluto would be two and a half kilometres distant (and about the size of a bacterium, so you wouldn't be able to see it anyway). On the same scale, Proxima Centauri, our nearest star, would be 16,000 kilometers away."And that's just our own solar system. There is SO MUCH space out there.

What have you done, Mr slm says he is a Raelian (google it) Wiki says it's a sex cult but Mr swears it's not a cult! He got in to it as a joke because of their symbol, a swastika inside the star of David.   The Raelian movement believe that all life on this planet was created by extra terrestrials from some planet thousands of light years away. The crazy thing is when you read their version of creation/life and compare it to the bible the Raelian version makes more sense.   It is nothing at all like scientology because scientology was started by a science fiction writer and the Raelian movement was started by a motoring journalist, lol.   Why do I get all the nuts?

Whats the saying, Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars .. ? or is it the other way round ? Regardless. it sure does give reason to why women and men see things so differently ? Next time I chat a woman up, Im gunna lead with a simple " me come in peace , take me to your leader.. and see what happens.. Do I believe ? Yes. You would have to have your head in the sand if you believe its us and us alone.. ? But Im not one of those who live for it.. I find that strange unless your a scientist who knows the facts...Oh ' before the vigilantes start.. I truly love women.. tis said with tongue in cheek..

we find it harder to NOT believe in other life in the universe than to believe.   Just seems obvious....given the expanse of the universe, which we are sure we cant comprehend fully.

about the sun turning upside down on December 7th.North will become South and South will become North.QUOTE from Article..."What does this mean for us? Nothing that we know of - no effect has been observed on the human body - but there is a complication. The magnetic shift coincides with a "solar maximum" when the sun sends particularly intense bursts of particles streaming into space, which can potentially affect earthly technologies such as satellite communications and power grids.Scientists are not sure when the magnetic reversal will complete, although it has slowly been underway since winter"I am thinking - it's so BIZZARE!So when I look at the sun AFTER December 7th do I have to tilt my head???FOXY

I reckon that while we are awake, it is for the purpose to feed ourselves to go back to sleep again and to dream. We can go anywhere in our dreams. So what's the chance that someone out there aren't dreaming about us.Mado

Although I think it's very unlikely, I do hope we discover something in my lifetime. I'd love to see what effect it would have on most organised religions - hilariously, it will probably validate some of the ESPECIALLY crazy ones, but for the rest of them, it would be a fascinating situation to observe!
