Love The Beast - RHP review

It never sounded like a good idea. Our very own Hollywood A-lister, Eric Bana puts his moniker on, what at first glance, appears to be a low budget motor sport documentary. Not a career maker by any stretch; but what Love The Beast does do is prove that our Eric is one talented fella.

The hard black and white film grade drags the entire film into a smoky depression that so beautifully reflects the main character’s own self-image and contributes to the overwhelming weight of the picture.

Skins (Series One) - Madman Distribution

Grown-ups writing about teenage dramas, it’s always a tricky one isn’t it… still, the monster UK hit series Skins has gone about as close to getting it right as anyone else in recent memory. Based on the reckless and variously entertaining exploits of a young and mobile clique, Skins spends each episode diving into an in-depth examination of a new core cast member each week, which then uncovers their motivation and the basis of their position within the larger group.
