Things to do on Valentine’s Day when you’re single

Valentine's Day tugs at our hearts and hip pockets this weekend with Fifty Shades of Grey bursting onto the big screen to ruin every man's chance of ever pleasing a woman again! Seriously, spanking, tears and public flagellation, what are we, the Liberal Party?!?

To protest this fraudulent day you'll be curled up on the couch with a family sized pizza listening to Celine Dion with a cat that resents you for giving it too much attention! Take that Cadbury! Lucky for you you've found some interesting light reading on " double-dipping", troll hunting and aliens.

Hold on, stop right there! You are looking at it all wrong! There are other ways you can be single and enjoy Valentine’s Day. A little bit of imagination and some good use of your resources barbing bara bang you are on your way to a very memorable Valentine's Day. We’ve got your back.

If you have a few single friends why not throw a party, invite them over, blow off some steam and forget about the love-and-hearts crap. Why not host a scary movie marathon; it’ll get your mind off the romance you think you are missing out on.

Now this is a cleaver long term underhand planning, sneaky move. Organize a battle of the sexes. Round up a co-ed group of single friends and play boy-versus-girl game of bowling on your Wii. You might be single for now, but who knows what a fun day of competition might cook up?

Want to feel good? Go splurge on a new wardrobe, or better yet for the ladies, get yourself some new sex toys and other titillating treasures and treat yourself to something sexy, then take yourself and your new purchase home to bed. Make it a bit more interesting and check out who’s on RHP webcam Chat and maybe you got them at the right time and you could have some unexpected fun with some new randy V-Day friends.

There’s nothing odd about spending the holiday of love hanging out with the one you love most: yourself? Being alone is cheaper, easier since you are pleasing yourself.

Declare it a “Me Day” and go out and have fun, no one will even notice.
You never know a few women might be in attendance, especially if you set yourself up as available on 'DateFinder’, you are almost guaranteed to find a date.

However, if it all fails you can go out next weekend and rub all the money you saved in your hitched friend’s faces. See who’s laughing now!!

Here’s a funny video on some awesome things about being single on Valentine’s Day.

I don't find Valentines Day to be all doom and gloom as a single person. Both sides has pros and cons...I'm enjoying where I am right now. Happy V Day to all the sexy people of Oz....mwah!
