Aussie tourists ‘caught having sex on park bench in Florence’
TWO Australian tourists have reportedly been arrested for having sex in public.
The 20-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were allegedly engaging in the act on a park bench near Florence’s popular Ponte Vecchio site.
Shocked passers-by gathered around them but, according to local media site Ansa, it did not seem to faze the duo.
So the locals called the police, who arrested the Australians at the Lungarno Torrigiani public gardens just before midnight on Monday night.
Florence is no stranger to badly behaved tourists. Last year, an American couple was snapped having sex in front of a Chanel shop, and a few months earlier a girl urinated on the street between taxis.
Locals were so fed up they even started the Facebook page Firenze Degrado to detail the poor behaviour of visitors.
Meanwhile, a man convicted of having sex with his girlfriend on a Florida beach in front of families was sentenced to 2½ years’ prison earlier this week.
Jose Caballero, 40, and Elissa Alvarez, 21, were convicted in May of two counts of lewd and lascivious behaviour over the brazen beach romp they drew international attention.
They were videotaped having sex on a Manatee County beach last year in broad daylight. Witnesses testified that a three-year-old girl saw them.

Had an experience of having hot sex with a now ex girlfriend on the riverbank in front of the Adelaide Zoo. We were so into each other that we were oblivious to passers by and we didn't get caught either.
