I too am 5 ft 11, i wear 10 to 15cms heels most days........I have been this height since i was 16.

For 23 years i was married to a man who was shorter than me.

I love it, i get many looks, i'm sure often based on nothing more than my height

My height does not ever make me feel self conscious....i do not ever feel the need to wear flats.

Why should i choose my footwear based on the height of the rest of the population??

Tall girls have a right to dress up & feel sexy too right?  In fact I think you would look far more feminine ( & hot ) in heels than flats. 

I am tall, so can't speak for others but I would not imagine there would be too many guys put off by a taller woman.  In fact it would be a turn-on.  Unless he was 5' nothing, in which case it would be comical.  Still, if you can't laugh at yourself, then who can you laugh at?  ;)

Good luck & I don't think you should worry about people judging you.  Some may get jealous though, but that should not be your problem

I love women fullstop. I can understand why you would feel self conscious. Society is pretty fucked up the way it makes us feel about ourselves at times and I say where what you want. Chances are there's only a few people in a hundred that may have a problem but, that's exactly it....it's their problem not yours.

I went out with a six foot two dutch girl who I called my viking princess. I'm six foot and the only time I felt a bit funny was when I was out and realised I had her thongs on. I'll admit fitting my girlfriends footwear spun me out for five seconds but everything else, like looking up to kiss her, was totally fine.

Maybe people look because they think you're attractive or envy you :)

X24U Do what makes you feel good. A great dress, sexy lingerie and a hot pair of Jimmy Choos is my ideal partner... I do have trouble dressing her though.. those fucking blow up dolls dont make it easy. But on a more serious note, who gives a shit? dont let peoples "judgements" of you dictate the way you want to dress or look. Your partner is the same height as you and whether or not you wear flats or a sensible heel may be how you think he may feel and not necessarily how he does feel. Any man that has a fear or a dislike of tall women is perhaps a vertically challenged person with inadequacies and inabilities to look up to a woman. Me? i lurvvvvve tall chicks..WITH those killer heels.. if she hasnt got killer heels.. she can borrow mine WEAR THEM AND LOOK SIZZLING!!
