Hi all im a male and a while ago i fell in love terribly with a  female friend.Thought about it for a while then got the courage to tell her.She responded by saying she loved me terribly also but only as a friend although she did say "i wish i could love you" whatever that was supposed to mean.Anyway i accepted her answer and for a while we remained friends but not as close and eventually i ended the friendship because she was never the same towards me after i told her how i felt and because it was doing my head in. i killed our friendship by telling her i loved her romanticaly.Thing is she was sending out all the right signals which gave me the courage to tell her my feelings for her. Since ending our freindship i feel ive broken my promise to her to be there when she needed my support . Has this sort of thing happend to anyone ? how did it turn out?? did i do the right thing in ending our friendship?? cause it feels like i did a dumb thing. BTW it was a non sexual friendship lastofthefew
