Stupid is as Stupid does!!!!!!

Very good call to bring this up again mioamici

I'm was thinking the very same thing yesterday when i read in the news that STD's are on the rise.Especially as it seems to show i higher increase in the boom states

This was the article i read

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/fifo-workers-fuel-spike-in-stds/story-e6frg153-1226133226871

So it seems we must have all become a little more relaxed and really should start to be more careful,

Safe approaches

Condoms are good but still there are finite risks. Condoms split and condoms slip off for guys who regularly power through the first orgasm. Changing condoms after times when semen come out are tough. Also there are finite risks in getting one of the 3 nasty ones (HiV, HepC, Herpes) with kissing and also with giving oral to a woman.

My approach is:

1. Totally avoid high risk groups (fully) or people who have had sex with high risk groups (Gay, IV Users, Random players, uneducated players, untested players)

2. I personally have HepC protection. I have done that by getting the HepB vaccination and having that take-up tested.Women have HPV option in early vaccination as well.

3. If in doubt use a condom. In a way its not how many partners a woman has but how many since her last full testing.

4. Personally I have testing every 3 months at (old quarry st STI clinic) now in Northbridge. For young people its $40 per year until age 25 but they apply the same if you have a history with them.

5. Understand what the risks actually are in detail - the STi clinic can tell you. As it happens Perth is very low. Add to that the stats involved in getting HIV.

6. Encourage dual testing and avoid one nighters, one weekers. Good for man, good for woman and good for society.      I keep copies of all my testing and make point of showing.

7. Short term HIV testing. The old HIV testing where two tests are required 30 days apart to check for recent HIV takeup have extra options now. The 10 day tests are useful - even if not perfect.

8. Discuss early. In a way discuss before you meet and not leave to the lust and passions of the moment. Know what you are getting into lol

Knowledge is all important for sure. And in this context skin on skin pleasures, oral giving and so on are all important.

High Risk

The only way you are going to stop VD’s and HIV is to have one partner and do not play around..

If you are going to play: do not have oral sex or kiss and wear a rubber and just have a fuck then leave...

As all VD’s can be transferred oral and kissing....

We find you have to trust the people you are having sex with and I agree with staying away from high risk groups and get tested at least 3 times a year...

People will tell you can’t get diseases through oral and kissing: reality check YES YOU CAN!!!

TRUST is the only thing you have going for you....

OH and stop blaming the gay’s and bi’s for all these diseases...
