Is anyone else stimulated, sighs and smirks at certain words? Some may not even be sexual (ok, given this is not a knitting forum I'm guessing most will be!).

My top five:

- Evoke
- Clandescent
- Pash (bringing back the 80's old school terminology)
- Harlot
- Strumpet (conjures up oh so many images)

Disclaimer: possibility of this thread dying without any replies quite likely and Ms VT shall reside back in her hiding spot where she reads posts from afar whilst smirking and sipping hot, gooey coffee goodness.

Our words, if well chosen...

...are perhaps how we seduce the mind and surely the body will follow.  Not at all unlike the gentle caress of finest woven silk against the skin...more so in a near breathless voice whispered in silence as the quiet cacophony that is the music and muse of two lovers.  Surrounded only by the sensual warmth of light glowing from scented candles...mirroring their shadows dancing upon the wall as they embrace.  The ember of a passion shared suddenly explodes into an inferno of raw lust...they become vulnerable and exposed as the masques fall away into a secret, the infusion of a memory that only they will share now complete.

Especially words like

'Ironical' as in when someone says, "It's kind of ironical, isn't it?" uhh... kinda, except it's NOT A MOTHERFUCKING WORD.

'Hence why'. It's redundant, you're actually saying "that's why why" and I want to staple your tongue to a door and slam it in your face.

If you don't know how to use it properly, just leave it the fuck alone.

What I will admit to is still misusing some of the words that are more colloquial in Australia (dot tapper I am) and that the first time you mentioned that I had to "Google it" to figure out what you were on about.  There are some places where they are referred to as the Harlequin Romance novels...you know, the ones that keep the housewives happy on boring days?
