Really people, what happened to manners. Ok, its a site of casual meetings and swining etc. Surely though people can still have some manners in their interactions. READ CAREFULLY peoples profiles, reply with politeness, even if not interested. And TAKE A HINT, if its no the first 10 times chances are the next ten are not going to work any better for you. MANNERS people, cost you nothing at all to use and will get you much further than being an asshole!!

i was a bit of an asshole today by accident

All I did was pass, but the tone can be taken the wrong way sometimes and on later reflection one might express differently. I have found the "block" button helpful when the person or people who I have said a polite no to send a steady stream of bile my way and stalk my profile thereafter til I block them..., but it makes responding sometimes even politely a bit of a question mark. But I forgive anyone who has pissed me off as much or more than they forgive me any fault I might make. X

There are of course people you just can't be polite too, no matter how hard you want to. There is always an asshole out there who believes you should just drop at their feet cause they worked out how to post a pic of their dick/vagina. These people you can be polite as you want and it won't matter. I guess I'm just talking if I say sent Brunhild a message (haven't read you profile so shooting blind here :)) saying:
"Hi, your profile sounds just like someone I would like to meet and I seem to match what you seek, like to grab a coffee or chat here for a bit and see what happens?"
She may not even have a tiny bit of interest but how hard is it to just say: "Thanks Andrew, yes we do seem to have a few things in common but you are not quite what I am looking for, good luck and thank you"
I retain my dignity and she has said no? Surely this type of response is not too much to expect, took me 17 seconds to type the reply.
How you put yourself across is how you are remembered, first impressions are everything

guys sometimes its nice to simply use your manners when contacting women on here read the profile if your not a 100% sure if the lady your going to contact is everything you hope or want please dont waste her time by texting her for a couple of days and building the meeting up then at the last minute say sorry ive thought about it and your only a year older than my mother so no its not happening did that not cross your mind at the start of reading the profile if you want an older women think about the age limit first and dont go above it as some of us women have feelings too

I think the whole can't take a hint thing is actually part of the problem?

Hint's are often misconstrued or just totally missed..  Also, hinting at stuff is borderline manipulative.  Ask for what you want.  Be clear.

"Hey, you seem nice enough.  But I'm just not interested.  Please don't contact me anymore."

It's not rude and It can't be misunderstood.

True, there is no excuse for rudeness.  But I would have to say that a non reply is something that I no longer consider rude if in fact I ever did.  I was amazed at how many flirts and messages some of the women and couples get on this site.  It staggered me.  I messages a good friend on here and she missed my message because she had a couple of pages of them to go through.  I really don't get the steady stream of hate mail though! I have only been on the receiving end of it and then only infrequently but there is just no excuse for that.  Its all supposed to be about fun on here :) I try to leave my attitude at the door when I have one anyways lol

My reply you quoted was purley an example, the point was however a reply of any sort. The first time, perhaps I should have added. If someone asks you the same question 10 times and just won't take a hint, fine, but seriously, is it hard?
