Interesting post Jay - from my perspective I don't view this as a 'dating site' .. if it were funnily enough a photo of a well chiseled chest would more than likely turn me off as it would scream sex and arrogance lol.
But in the world of RHP I find it very appealing and kudos to the genuine guys out there that do take care of themselves, it does attract my attention. I am sure there are fake ones out there, but like all us gals if you have your filtering systems in place you can pick the fakes pretty quickly. With such a large percentage of males to women here I think men should show off their best attributes, I for one would much rather a lovely chest shot than the proverbial 'here are my bits, how about it'.
AS an interesting side note, I have found the few men I have met with gorgeous bods to be total gentlemen and not arrogant or self obsessed at all...a few with 'extra padding' shall we say could certainly take some lessons...go figure
more and more people are working longer or odd hours...not everyone has the time to go out and meet people in a public arena.
When you were younger Jay (and even in my early 20's) this form of 'dating' was unheard of (though I do miss my ICQ I.D.) and people made the time to meet socially, be it through friends, family, work, at the local etc. Now though more people are concentrating on their careers and have multiple jobs to 'make ends meet', they just dont have the time to undertake the activities they used to or are just not making the time.
I also feel that people are being more openly explorative in their sexual needs now and find that this sort of arena provides some form of annonymity required to find compatible sexual partners for their various kinks.
Internet dating also gives you the ability to meet people you wouldnt normally get a chance to...be it different locations or social circles, people that you wouldnt normally mix with thus increasing the number of possible mates.
I first started using the internet for dating puroses when I was working disgustong hours (not finishing til 2:00am) and unless I wanted to only date people I worked with or friends of friends (not always a good thing especially if it doesnt work out) then the internet is a perfect avenue for me. While I dont have a 6 pack without internet 'dating' sites I wouldnt have met some of the most wonderful people that are currently in my life.

We have met up with a few "real" six pack men and they have been respectful, genuine and great people to be around (not arrogant but confident and I think we all agree that confidence is sexy). Yes, I agree that they would have no problem picking up in vanilla world but from chatting with them, it's the thrill of this lifestyle! Generally people on here are sexually enlightened wouldn't you agree - openminded and willing to experiment. It's not about picking up, it's about broardening your sexual horizons which the everyday world may not dish up regularly.
In my mind, there is no "type" in the lifestyle. We are all different shapes and sizes so it should be no surprise to find all sorts from Adonis' and Jabba the huts. XXX

Would you really rate RHP as a "dating" site ? Correct me if I'm wrong but if you are after a sensible longterm vanilla relationship, aren't there sites more set up for that kind of thing- where you talk about all your hobbies and how you like "long walks on the beach" and stuff ?!
Last time I checked, this was a site based on bringing together people who's primary interest was to get a good shag with minimal commitment ! For most people sexual attraction is a visual thing, right ? If your are proud enough to show off your best assests for the world to "rate", go ahead !
As far as "guys with six packs" go, my guys got a good set, without necessarily being the type that wants to show it off to get attention. For both of us, personality and overall attraction to someone with their clothes on is the most important aspect of being turned on enough to want to invite them to "party" with us. I love seeing a lady drool with enthusiasm when Mr Bull takes his shirt off for the first time !
I have certainly been with guys who seem like the total package until they open their mouths to speak (and I'm sure there are guys that could say the same thing about some crazy hot babe)- while they're fucking me, I just politely ask them not to ruin the moment !
