Now I don't mean to be sexist here, am just going off of what I've seen. I can understand the concept of such a site as this and obviously it has to make money somewhere which is all good and well. But in my honest opinion, girls can take advantage of it while guys are just suckers desperate enough to spend their money in hope it will improve their chances. I'm sadden to think I was even considering it at one point. Whether or not this topic gets deleted, doesn't overly bother me, I just think there is a little bit of unfairness in the whole dating system...not just specifically directing it at one site either. Put it like this, I did a general search, Girls in my area 18-24, got about 1-2 pages (I live in a fairly remote place) and I think maybe one or two might have had non-"Guest" accounts and very few had next to any contact or verification information at all. I did the same search but for men...at least the first 30-40 members were Platinum and PremiumPLUS accounts and the effort to verify and prove who they say they were was fairly more significant to that of the girls search. Of course, I suppose this is only obvious because as a general run of things, girls are a lot more picky plus generally they will often get to pick and choose who they want, whereas guys sometimes are so keen and/or desperate, it doesn't matter who they get, as long as they get someone. But to be more direct to this site wise, the result of it is that I would think as a general run, the girls get a free dating service because all they have to do is post a nice picy or write a few words saying they want sex and/or want anyone etc and I bet they must get plenty of attempts to contact them and maybe even stalkers etc Whereas the guys, they find that a basic "Guest" account isn't going to get them anywhere, so they invest in the service to hopefully improve they're chances, as my own personal opinion, $100+ a month is an insane amount of money to put towards any sort of hobby or interest, though if it works wells then good for them. But still...I wonder how many of those blokes who do pay the money, actually get results from it? I have nothing against the girls who are not so quick to fall head over heels for the first bloke to hit their radar, it's better planning in advance I suppose. But me being as a guy, I know when you want something, it can really drive you up the wall, and like I said I had even considered spending the money at one point. Though I like to take a step back and look at things carefully, because although I put no value on money, it's not exactly easy to just use unwisely, so I generally do not like to invest in anything I can't be certain I won't attain results (no offense to redhotpie). By far this seems to be about the best dating/sex site i've come across though, with better protection from weirdos, as for instance, my account on AdultMatchMaker had 40+ year old men trying to have live chats with me within 48 hours of the account going public :s Having restrictions on who can view your account and find it in searches is definitely a good push in the right direction...Though I still think, in a way, it fails at some point simply due to the way both sexes approach these things. This is an opinion from an 18 year old...I'm not trying to complain here, merely, trying to state the obvious even though I suppose nothing can really be done about it...Just thought it might be a nice read for someone :p
