Some people take your fancy and some don't,

and then it gets tricky because the one you thought you

were attracted to, you realise your not after all, and

vicey versy.

Its not about physics its about chemistry, and sometimes a little engineering.

You shouldn't be puzzled, their attraction to you just sometimes overrides

your desire that they keep their distance.

Afterall we don't want those pesky little valence electrons doing their thing.

there are certain factors that contribute to attraction...looks,smell,taste,touch,all creating the environment for the chemical cocktail of endorphins.and  the sussing out of DNA compatibility.

If I stare into your eyes,focus on you,reflect your words back to you,then yes you might be attracted to me ,at least in the short term..and as we get to know each other the attraction may or may not continue....because relationships are fragile.... we don't show all aspects of ourselves to another....at least not initially...

If someone finds us attractive,is attentive to us ,then that in itself can be attractive.....confidence is attractive,enthusiasm is attractive,emotional intelligence is attractive...arrogance,negativity,and ignorance aren't....just my thoughts KK

I can relate to your situation other than I'm not Interested in a Guy around My age 60 to be My Significant Other Lover or Partner...

My Opinion is that People cross our Paths when they're meant to .. ..for what ever reason Friend, Lover, Partner .. so we can both grow, Learn Pos. Lessons  from the Experience hopefully ...

Overcome, Grow, move on....

Then repeat with the Next Person ..Someone more suited to the Person we are now..

There is something beyond the written word that attracts people to others, sometimes there is a connection on both sides and sometimes just a one sided affair but if the two are connected physically, spiritually and or emotionally there are certainly sparks flying everywhere and the chemistry is electrifying, it does not seem to matter whether a person is attached or not seems like it cannot be helped and it was meant to be.

I have been on some dates here and absolutely no chemistry whatsoever, the guys were nice enough but just no spark and no doubt vice versa but there have been others on here and upon meeting ..... well the rest is history, it is like all the stars and planets have aligned and the connection unbelievable, or as mentioned just meeting someone in the street, in conversation there just seems to be that connection, it doesn't have to be sexual, it is almost like a soul mate connection, and one walks away feeling so content and happy inside
