For almost a year I lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains,it is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.
I remember it and the friends I made there fondly .Even though my daughter is now twenty-eight, and it was twenty years ago,she can still recite the Pledge of Allegiance all the way through.
Happy Fourth of July x Hugs H
Happy 4th July
expat American (New Yorker) living in Perth and there are days when I really crave home and today is always one of them ( the others are Thanksgiving, Halloween and Superbowl Sunday)
I spent the day at the invitation of the US Consulate at a lovely lunch hosted by them.......attended mainly by Southerners (those damn but charming Chevron boys who still argue as to who won the Civil war...) but oh it was so nice to talk home, sport, traditons, food etc.........................I had pangs for Magnolia bakery cupcakes...mmmmm
Perth is beautiful and I do consider myself lucky to live here but oh how I do miss NYC !!!!!!., how could one not ???
