If you look back in history it has always been around.    But it those days it happened behind closed doors.      It times gone past,a certain amount of friends would meet at a country dance.        Who ever was dancing with each other at the last dance for the night would go with that person for the night.      Or research  at some british tea parties in africa or india over the past.        Women used to travel with the roman legions to supply comfort needs to the soldiers.
