This is the worst time of year.... cricket overlaps with footy.  Fuck - all they need is golf and tennis on the tele and I might acutally go outside and get some sun on me!!

I hate ,yes Hate it all (AFL)and the wife is a mad MAD keen WCE fan, I never minded any of it but they insist on calling it news and to me it is sport so why do we need it in both.

 The other thing that drives me insaine is the fact that they beat it up all week then play and replay it on every channel all weekend and then pull each and every game apart on Monday and Tuesday like it can change the result and all this done by broken down old has beens that have never played the game as it is now,furthermore they change the rules every year search me why you would watch it lol.

 And yes I concider myself to be a true blue Aussie BORN AND BRED.

Ditto to that Earl, If they win you would like to think she would wear the skin off of it for you but they are too busy celebrating, then when they get beaten they trip over the bottom lip and the whole world has to end with the end of the game.

Further to that we take fit young guys and turn them into shattered old men, If you got to see what I see in my job you would have to ask is it all worth it.

Don't get me wrong I'm all about the original game but these guys are bigger and faster than ever, the game is quicker not to mention that the season starts while in some states the temp is stupidly high, and the players don't get enough time to mend.

Plus they take very young guys, tell them that they can have all that money and fame,but you can't vent each week you only get a few weeks a year and while you do we will judge your every move but we wont condition you for the fallout and at best we will give you an even bigger drongo to mentor you.

Sorry but as a West Aussie it was my preferred code but I cringe now when ever it is due back around.

Have our first pre-season game this weekend. Followed by games every weekend leading to the start of the season. That's playing the true football (soccer for those that prefer to follow american language). Have a proper coach this season which should make the club stronger. Hopefully I can take out top goalscorer again this season. Be better if we make the finals too.

As for following teams, in NRL I follow the Sharks. Think it is going to be a tough season for them this year.
