Hello kinky companions,

First-time poster, regular reader of the forums. Was just wondering if anybody else ever felt as though they were just a piece of meat on sites like this? I'm an attractive, sensitive young male, and you just can't sum that up in a picture.

Sometimes I feel on these sites that if you don't fit some hyped-up mold of what is physically appealing to the opposite or same sex, you won't get anywhere. And what's with all the cock-shots? I get that this site is all about sex, but do you want to be reduced to your cock when he or she meets you? I don't get it! Little help, please. Same for pictures just of boobs. Is it meant to be appealing?

I love women, hell, I love people, but I can see how constant rejection and being looked over can make some men or women feel a sense of anger or mistrust toward the opposite sex. This site isn't doing for me what I'd hoped. One can lose faith and confidence in the courting process if they're not careful when being a consumer of such sites!

Ok are you looking to "court" someone or just have sex.    What did you think that this site would do for you? There is a big difference.  Your profile is fantastic and very well written.  Does it really matter that you don't fit the mould?  Women love men that are different to all the rest and that should be your selling point.  And as for the cock shots - don't worry as we all hate them too.

You're profile is great...

But based on my experiences of this and similar sites? - They are populated by a huge number of fantasists (be that in how they advertise themselves or what they are looking for in others.) There are also a massive number of fake profiles. As a man you are up against the fact that women & couples get *swamped* with responses so sticking your head up above the crowd becomes harder.

Out of the hundreds (1000's?) of responses I've had over the years, I've followed through to meet with 8 men and 1 woman, and only 3 of those encounters were BDSM ones (which is my thing) 1 other has become a very good friend.

To my mind, even with a great profile and some friendly back & forth banter prior to meeting, the reality is sometimes that there is no chemistry in person.

And to answer your question? No, I refuse to feel like a piece of meat, if it's not working I'll just leave and try elsewhere. :)

Yes this is a meat market really. It's all about first impressions and how you present yourself. The same as it would be in the real world also. But of course for most of us, well for us girls I think, there has to be a connection before taking things further and for that you have to meet.
