I know when I see a row of ask mes I stop reading. If they don't fill out this easy part, there probably won't be anything worth reading in the comments section. They come across as nobodies or people who can't be bothered to make any effort to complete a profile. Why would anyone be interested in someone who can't be bothered to take the time to attempt to fill out their profile. It is not rocket science.
I'd be concerned they'd put as little effort into a meet.
The one I giggle at is looks - see my picture and there is no pic or just a pic of a cock!!! LOL

If you have nothing to say about who you are then I am not inclined to try to find out.

The truth is some people use it as a hook any attention is better than non at all.
Though its nice that some people have suprised me when they are much much better than what they put on their profile

in the end its their choice and its ours to respond if we want to. Or not.
I have a "why ask me" on my profile. In regards to smoking...why, because in social situations I enjoy a cigar. So I don't regularly smoke and its not a little or a lot, it's very occasionally. But agree that in most of the profiling there is a suitable question. If you can't be honest about what you look like here then maybe you shouldn't be here.

The classic " Ask Me" profile, with naturally no photo or a hidden profile, and down in the narrative area is, normally in capitals, proclaiming to all that he/she/they will not respond and threaten to block anyone who dares contact them without a face pic in their profile ......

I dont take any time at all on these as i agree with you all on the' if people dont have time to fill out a simple Q & A then how much fun are you going to be?
It is my opinion that by giving the most information you can and by penning yourself a simple but informative description without writing a novel, especially if you are witty enough to use a little humour (OMG - personality exposure)there is far more chance that i might find you more interesting....otherwise ......next!
